After leaving Newcastle, I spoke to the people at QPR and I liked their ambition for the club. There were new owners, and it seemed like everyone at the club pulling in the right direction. And what really appealed to me was that when we achieve stuff at Loftus Road, weâll be charting new territory. Itâs not like joining Arsenal or Manchester United: the fans donât really know top-level success and so weâve got the chance to give them a new kind of experience. Playing at QPR gives me the chance to really get involved in a proper football project, to diversify my energies. Because when I sign for a football club, I put my heart and soul into it: I donât really know how to do things half-heartedly. I canât just go through the motions and pick up my money. I canât just do that. I care passionately about my profession and my performances. And I really want this project to work. I knew it was gonna be hard from the outset. I knew it was gonna be a real challenge, but thatâs how Iâve always got the best of out myself. It feels like everyone involved with QPR is determined to make this club a proper force in the league. We want to be one of the big clubs. And I think weâll do it. The club I joined in September 2011 has already moved on about two years in terms of the development youâd see at a normal club. Thereâs a top new manager, loads of top new players and it seems like the whole place is on fast-forward. Iâm not deluded, it might be a bit bumpy for the first year or two, but Iâve signed for this football club for four years and Iâll play as hard as I can and work as hard as I can to make a positive impact. Iâve moved the family down to London and Iâm dedicated to Queenâs Park Rangers for as long as the club want me.
Im no fan but you cant say hes said anything wrong there but I just think he is not a very good player. Youd have to be mental to want him in the team over Faurlin or Diakite.
His thoughts on last year - Well, we stayed in the Premier League, the toughest league in the world. A massive pat on the back must be extended to the owners, the coaching staff, the players and the fans. We did it together, it was not easy, we made many mistakes and took some chances, but we got there. We remained in the league, which was our main goal from the outset. I always believed we would stay in the league, we had too much quality and belief in the squad, too experienced a manager, hungry owners and really passionate fans. If this season was replayed over again there would possibly been many different permutation’s. People doubted us, I recall looking at our last 10 fixtures after losing to Bolton in most controversial circumstances. We were to play Liverpool, Arsenal, United, Chelsea, Spurs, Man City with a difficult away trip to an in form Sunderland. Some said the writing was on the wall, yet we all believed. We had to win our home games, something you have to do in the premier league. The fans made Loftus Road a fortress, and we delivered with some massive victories. Our form was patchy throughout the season; the players must take responsibility for that. On a personal level, I had a poor season by my own standards. However I believe that when the backs were against the wall, I performed. I look at the Liverpool game, which was possibly the worst of my career, the fans booed me, rightly or wrongly, the team came back and won in fantastic circumstances. I bounced back to show what I was capable of in the Arsenal game (I am their nemesis), as well as the Spurs, Swansea and Stoke games. Things need to put into perspective at times, we, as a club set out to remain in the Premier League and we accomplished that. We are now in a much stronger position going into the 2012/13 seasons than we were at the start of the 2011/12. QPR fans reading this, thanks for your support over the past season. We had our highs and lows, but we are on a journey with this football club: a journey that I believe has only just begun.
And his thoughts on the coming year (top 10)! We can all be very excited about what is happening at Queens Park Rangers, everyone from the fans, the players, management to the owners. We have had a year to find our way in the premier league, we have a manager who knows what it takes to succeed at this level, as well as owners prepared to invest in the squad to succeed. I am already chomping at the bit to be back for pre season training in July. Unfortunately, I will miss the first 12 games of the season as everybody knows due to my reaction at the Etihad stadium*for which I am deeply regretful. As as man I will respond to this challenge in the right manner and return a stronger, better player for the club after I have served my ban. I look forward to the challenge of earning my place back in the side. Make no bones about it, the premier league is the toughest league in Europe, and as much as I would like to tell you that we will be challenging for a champions league place we must be realistic. We are at the start of a journey with QPR and Rome was not built in a day. My heart looks at what Newcastle achieved in finishing in the Europa League places and it is not out of this world for us to achieve this based on the quality in our squad. The key will be keeping Loftus Road as a fortress which it became towards the end of the season, winning your home games is crucial to survive in this league with the big fish. Saying the above I believe a top 10 finish is realistic as we set the building blocks in place for the future and becoming a stable, premier league club. After finishing 17th in 2011/12 a top finish in season 2012/13 would be excellent progress. The league is tough, and to finish in the top 10 would be a good achievement for a club that was struggling in the championship just a couple of years ago. I love the cup competitions and would of course love to see us have a good FA cup run as well. I have always loved the FA Cup, and to lift it with QPR would be fantastic for everyone involved at the club. We have a quality core now with the likes of Nedum Onouha, Jamie Mackie and Ali Faurlin will be like a new signing after suffering that injury at the start of the season. Ali is a top player and we really missed his quality over the season. It will be interested to see what the gaffer brings in to increase the competition and take us to the next level. We are making progress and we will no doubt continue to make further progress this season. We are all in it together for the long haul.

Think you're right flyer but dare I say it if he's accepted back could be a useful squad player come the busy Christmas period and second half of the season as others tire or we suffer injuries.
It's a nicely put together website, but 100% dependent on input from him ( unless he has a team of writers). Can't see him having enough time to play football if he wants to keep this up to date......

Interesting choice of banner on the actual article page which reads "let us be judged by our acts" For me and many other Rangers fans, JB's acts are what we don't like about him - judgement - deserves all the punishment he gets. I hope the newly selected captain (Park, Derry, Taarabt) has a great start to the new season and leaves Barton struggling for a place post Christmas.

For me, the fact that he agreed voluntarily to a term in his employment contract, following the Etihad debacle, whereby he's out on his ear if he so much as sneezes on an opposition player says something about his commitment. Many players would have given the least, on legal advice. So, yes, I'll give him a second chance since his balls are in a vice. I think he's a perfectly good Prem midfielder so long as he concentrates 100% on his game. If you're reading this, Joey, you can redeem yourself after Christmas, mate, just keep your nose clean until then...and after

I just wish he'd come out with all this stuff after the internal enquiry rather than arsing around in a balloon over Africa (or whatever the hell he was doing). The apology was what I was after and then I could have given him more slack for what was essentially wanting to win too much in the City game (and then losing it because he knew he had blown his chance to bring us through). My judgement is still in limbo (a bit like his career) and could go either way.
Bullsh*t. Leopards don't change their spots. He's an intelligent lad and knows what words fans want to hear. But Lads, don't be duped by this chancer. Mark my words, if he gets back in the Team, disaster will be just around the corner.
Mark Hughes has brought a level of professionalism that was unprecedented at this club before. He will fundamentally change everything about this club and leave it in a much better situation that it was before he arrived. He was a great player, and heâs got that atmosphere about him â that kudos. Heâs just a quality football man with loads of confidence in his own ability and he will bring success to this club: I donât doubt that for a second. He is a winner and can count Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Manchester United as previous clubs â rare for a Brit to play for three of the biggest clubs in the world. Now that weâve managed to stay in the Premier League for another season, Iâm 100% confident that he will take this club to places itâs never been before â and Iâll being doing all I can to help him achieve that. There was a lot of speculation about my position when Mark Hughes joined. The papers said he was going to sell me in January and that he was gonna ban me from Twitter. All absolute nonsense. If thereâs a chance to put my name in a headline then lazy journalists will put two and two together and make three hundred and six. The gaffer has been great with me. As he said a few weeks after he joined, âJoey is a quality player and we are looking to bring quality in, not to get those type of players out.â It was good to hear that, and heâs been true to his word. In January he brought in some top players: Bobby Zamora, Djibril Cisse, Taye Taiwo, and Nedum Onouha. All good players who really dug in towards the end of the season and helped us get the results we needed to stay up. The gaffer has followed this up with signing Ji Sung Park, Andy Johnson, Rob Green and Fabio da Silva, players with real premier league calibre. When you add to this the fact that Adel has signed a new deal, it is truly exciting times for everyone at this football club.
Its nauseous stuff this. What else is he going to say? He managed to cling onto his job so he's licking arse now like no tomorrow. If Faurlin or Mackie or Derry or someone was to set up a Web-page then I'd love to read it. But they wouldn't, would they? Funny that.
