about time the sunshine came out, sick of this rain lark!Like chances of on the loose at 'the robe' at 8.20.Went close at the course last time so i expect him to be knocking on the door, and at 9/2 looks a decent win bet so i'm on.

    Hello lads.

    Nothing for me today.

Some blue bloods running this evening in a lowly Ballinrobe maiden. It's hard to imagine a better bred filly than Drops (Kingmambo/Alexandrova).

Her stablemate is a colt also out of a classic winner by Galileo called Skyphos.

Drops has already proved very moderate and hard to imagine Skyphos is much cop starting his career here as a 3-y-o.

Just highlights what an inexact science breeding racehorses can be.

    6:10-Linda's Icon E/W 16/1

Daughter of Sixties Icon out of a 5f/6f Winner.Showed some promise when 5th of 9 on debut at Newbury 10 days ago and should come on for that debut run.

    7:10-Courage 5/4

Half Brother to Marhaba Malyoon who won over 1m2f.Was unlucky when just beaten a nose in over a extended 7f at Beverley in May and now stepped up to 10f more improvement to come.

    7:40-Ryedale Lass E/W 14/1

Has been a totally different horse since making a winning start in handciaps at Brighton last month.Has been placed both runs since and the frop back to this trip a real positive

    8:10-Solfilia E/W 6/1

improved with each outing last year inclusing when winning her first race in a nursery at Nottingham.Had a troubled passage when 4th at Kempton in June on her seasonal reappearance and should build on that here and well worth a place chance.

Just noticed you're in France, Ron, I've moved the family down to France for the summer to escape Dubai (45 degrees there and very unpleasant this time of year). Very quiet here too. No TV, very sporadic internet, but lots and lots of wine :)

I meant the forum LG. It's always peaceful here. Very hot though. Sounds like you might be down south somewhere.

Going to have to re-watch the race but on initial evidence Mad For Fun was a blatant non-trier

Cheers Ardent. Don't understand why you need a bloody non-trier when the horse got beaten by a short head on its last start! Ah well, in the notebook and it should pop up at decent odds.
