Will we ever see the likes of this in football, makes all the fines ect of FIFA, EUFA and the FA. look like what they pathetic. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-18958256 Nearly forgot to post the link, that would have been a great way to start my first article.
Surely this is just ridiculous. What good does it do to punish the college like this? It certainly doesn't help the victims. It's not the fault of the college and this will just punish students! Perhaps this supposedly great country should look closer at its gun laws and protecting its citizens rather than punishing those who have done nothing wrong!
Maybe there's been some evidence that the college authorities were turning a blind eye to things in the pursuit of the prestige (and money) that they generate through their sporting accomplishment?
There's been quite a bit of evidence that the Powers That Be at Penn State at the time didn't go to authorities out of fear of "bad publicity" for the school. They knew as early as 2001 that Jerry Sandusky had molested a boy in the showers in the football locker room and chose not to alert authorities. By not doing anything about it, they allowed a known child molester unrestricted access to their facilities, which he used to molest more young boys involved with his charity. I'd say the school is very much at fault here for failing to do anything to prevent more kids from being harmed.
It would seem there's a fair amount of evidence against them, so the punishment is fair enough. So long as they also chop off the blokes cock with a rusty axe.
Well since the school knew about it and didn't do anything then I'm afraid this punishment is well deserved.
Hopefully we'll never see a case like this so we'll never see how FIFA or The FA react. I do think Liverpool should have received a 'record fine' for their actions last season though. Though obviously not on this scale.
