OT- Dark Knight Rises

Anyone seen this yet? Absolutely brilliant. Worth the 4 year wait.

I think the last film was still my favourite, but it's mainly because of the Joker.

I was skeptical about Hathaway as Cat Woman, but I decided to give her a chance, since I thought the same about Heath Ledger as the joker.

Well, I was less than impressed with her performance.

She's looks sexy as **** in her suit.

But her performance was average.

The movie overall was great though. Bane was a great bad-guy, so ****ing brutal.

It may surprise people to know that the guy who plays Bane is only 5ft 10. He looks taller in the movie.

I aint gonna spoil anything though.

My sentiments exactly. Heaths joker was IMO the best villain ever.
Loved this film tho, saw a few things coming a mile off but plenty of surprises. Bane was mint, Tom Hardy has played some decent roles recently.

 

All three films are tremendous dont get me wrong but they get worse in order IMO, the first one is probably one of the best films I have ever seen (batman begins) the dark knight was fantastic aswell, and just seen the dark knight rises tonight and although it was a very good film it still didn't have me that enthralled. Overall the acting, directing and production of each of the movies is brilliant.

 

Yeh, just saw it today. Tom Hardy as Bane totally stole the movie I think. Actually though Anne Hathaway did a good job as catwoman. I don't find her that hot though. Take Hale Berry any day.

 

I thought it was dull, badly edited & poorly paced.

The middle of the film particularly sagged, and the jump to 84 days under Bane, with no mention of what was going on outside Gotham was just plain jarring. A lot of plot holes as well.

And the "twist" didn't have enough impact since that character was too peripheral in the build up.

That said, still not as disappointing as Prometheus.

 

There were quite a few holes and I didn't feel it was as good a film as the Returns. At times I could have really done with subtitles for Bane as I was struggling to understand him. Nice twist at the end. Shame that looks like the end of Nolan & the Batman franchise though!

Although the studio denied it, they clearly edited the bane Voiceover because it was so hard to understand, which for me made it really loud and un-natural, like a cgi film voiceover.

I love the batman growl, in my head it's how Tiote talks.

 

Completely this - fed up of people proclaiming it a masterpiece. Also Hathaway was the best thing about the film. It was a good watch granted but a huge let down. The plot was littered with holes, Bane's ending was one of the biggest anti-climaxes in cinematic villains history, Cotillard was hardly relevant to the story then turned out to be bad. She also then died pretty bloody quickly . Then the very end sucked, a better ending would have been a back shot of a head that looked like Bale, the whole is it isn't it him. CREDITS. I liked the bit in the prison but parts of the story were too obvious, such as him having to do it without the rope. Enjoyable yes, but memorable no. Easily the worst of the three and if it is the end then what a horrible end to the trilogy. It obviously goes without saying that the second one is probably the best film Nolan has made, largely thanks to Ledger's performance.

Agree with a lot of this and said to my missus throughout "this will happen..." and then it did, BUT I still enjoyed it...Couple of things that annoyed me - all those mercenary lads running at the police - both heavily armed YET they start wrestling instead? Also, why didn't batman just use the rope to tie around the piece of stone he is trying to jump to, the man is a genius - what the ****?

As I said though, walked out of the cinema pretty satisfied and would recommend it ahead of a lot of ****e I've seen recently!

Saw it today was alright, got to say Anne Hathaway looks fit as catwoman.

 

As a side note anyone think the new superman film looks like it could be epic from the trailer before the film ? Even if it did use the lord of the rings music

 

Just before the film started I leaned over to the girl I went to see the film with and said "The Dark Knight isn't the only thing that is going to rise".

 

Never likes any batman film and wont wtach this one.
