I agree 100% about the hair, pure class. The Villa game opened my eyes about him in the air, he lost every single header against their midfield and attack. He should be beating their midfielders at least. I don't think he gets bullied as much on the ground anymore, just think he is a target in the air and that Johnson and Dann are both more complete defenders. He has definitely improved but still think we can do better.

I think Hangeland is overated, Samba is class but better teams will be interested. Hangeland done well last season but this season has looked big, slow and sloppy.

I think with Colo against Villa, he felt uncomfortable in centre midfield and that was a mistake on Pardew's part. He probably felt a little bit cramped in their in the middle of the park. I agree that Johnson and Dann are almost complete defenders but the one thing they lack is pace. Colo and Johnson would be a near perfect partnership for a couple of years at least. They are both in good condition and could easily play until their early 30's.

I think centre backs from abroad are always the riskiest ones. Especially the ones who have played in Spain all of their careers. Coloccini has come good but I can't think of any others who have really come into this league and done well.

I think English centre halfs are in good supply at the moment. Johnson, Dann, Brown (kind of), Shawcross, Cahill, Upson (highly rated but I don't rate him if I am honest), Phil Jones.

I agree he should never have been playing CM, however he still should have been beating Makoun, Petrov and Bent in the air. And i think although they lack pace, they know how to defend against pace. I wouldn't complain if Colo was playing every week next year, even if we signed Johnson and Dann, i do however think they are an awesome partnership and would love to sign them both.

This. Also agree that Upson is rubbish, can't believe he is West Ham's captain! Also Jagielka to add to that list.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to sign them both, but they are not going to be short of options and Birmingham will require a fee. It could be near £15 million to sign both of them and I can't see us forking that out. If we can get them a bit cheaper, hell yes, lets get them. But I would find it hard to drop Coloccini for both of them <ok>

Hangeland has the most headed clearances of any defender this season.

Hangeland/Samba over Dann/Johnson ANYDAY. That's just me though. Shawcross/Huth I wouldn't mind and Cahill would just be amazing! can't see it happening though with Arsenal linked and him being valued at around 20m <yikes>. Good all-round CB but I don't think he's worth that MUCH. He could just be another Lescott if I'm honest.
