    I'll admit Mourinho is successful and a good manager! But at Chelsea he spent millions, Madrid he's spent millions. Inter were already the best team in Italy. Porto were the best in Portugal and he won the Champions League... the final was against Monaco! Not the highest quality year for the Champions League!

    I dont know if it has been reported as I despise Chelsea so don't really read about them ect.
    It wouldn't surprise me If Abramovich actually bought Torres without consulting Ancellotti. I agree Chelsea would not be were they are without his money but if Abramovich actually allowed his managers to have 100% control I'm pretty sure they would of been to more than one Champions League final during his time there.

    I rate Mourinho really highly, It's his psycological knowledge of how to motivate and affect people's brains that makes him unique, some of the things his players say about him show how incredible he is. He has the ability to gain his players' trust in such a short space of time...
    However, i'm still undecided over whether I would like him at United, it will be a crucial time when Fergie leaves..

    Check this out though. Not sure, could be mind games...

    No, I mean heroic in himself, not has managing capabilities. The way he handles the media is first class and he is always gracious when he wins and loses, top man <laugh>

    And yes, the season he won the CL with Porto was a poor year in terms of quality.

    If he wants to stay with Real then they'll catch Barca in no time. The he said my favourite line from any football interview ever before the first game against spurs. Some guy asked him a whether he was nervous seeing as he'd just lost his home record and he just looked at him and said in a really sarcastic voice
    "I know that's twice I've lost in 9 years now, it's not good enough"

    Sir Bobby wanted to bring him to Newcastle as his assistant, and his successor after a few years. But Mourinho was too ambitious to be a mere assistant <wah>

    1. With Chelsea and Madrid He still bought the right players and got the teams playing very well.
    2. OK, so Inter had won the league the previous two years, but he still won another two Serie A titles, the domestic cup and the Champions League. Hardly an easy job.
    3. Ah, so they only won the Champions League because the final was against Monaco. Ignoring the fact that they knocked out Man United and Lyon, as well as drawing with Madrid at the Bernabeu. Or the fact that Monaco beat semi-finalists Deportivo 8-3 at home in the group stages, before knocking out Madrid and Chelsea.

    <ok>

    Just to throw a name into the hat, Everyones talking about Pep Guardiola managing man utd, what are your thoughts on him, I think he is a decent manager but when you have Villa, Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Pedro and Busquets as your midfield and attack I think all you have to say to them is "Do what you like" so i dont know
