http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/sunderland/9458978.stm Striker needed pronto Brucey. Actually, make that two. UPDATE: CONFIRMED TODAY 20/04/2011: SSN TWITTER
Really devastated if this would happen, not for Sunderland but for Fraizer himself it must be absolutely heartbreaking after just recovering from his first injury. Wish him all the best if its true
It is true, there's a quote from SB in today's Echo, he's going to have an exploratory op to see what the problem is and that will rule him out for the rest of the season. Gutted but it should mean we get a fully fit and raring to go Frazier for next season.
But being out for a year might completely destroy his form. We may have permanently lost a brilliant striker.
****ing gutted for the lad, and for us. Not only was he starting to look a real player, he also seems a real top lad. All the best Frazier mate
Mate, they're saying he's gonna be out for next season too, if the scans come back and show bad news.
So we might need at least two strikers in the summer, target man to partner Gyan and back-up for Gyan himself.
This is what I alluded to in the first post. If I were Quinn or Ellis, I'd be down investigating where these injuries are coming from ASAP.
This ....and this. I feel for the lad and fear for his future. There's not many players that return to top form after this type of injury. I hope Fraizer is the exception!
are we cursed or what?? all the best fraizer, god knows we could do with you fit and firing up front now.
Agreed. We've certainly missed his goals this season. Let's hope that the injury recurrence is not as bad as first feared.
Only just seen this, Very sad for the player and the club, Hopefully he is not going to have to be out for so long, Good luck to the lad he is a great player.
CONFIRMED AS HAPPENING: This is not good. Add on top of this Gordon out for 6 months, our options for next season are already depleted.
Liverpool fan in peace. Afternoon. I've just seen this on the BBC Sport website. Desperatly sorry for the lad. I actually went to the Sunderland Vs Man City game when he did his knee in the first time (Uncle, who's a massive Sunderland fan got me and my dad some tickets in the home end.). I saw the injury and it looked awful. Was hoping he'd get back to full fitness and become a good Premier League player. Really hope he pulls through and has a good career. Anyway, good luck for the rest of the season.
