I know with 39 points we are not quite there yet but at mid table and with so many struggling below us i cant help think back to the many start of the season articles predicting who would be going down.

There are alot to choose from that could still drop into the Championship but im going with the current 3 teams in the relegation zone.

Looking at Blackpool's run in of games vs West Ham i think West Ham will struggle. That would mean (and im presuming that wigan and wolves stay where they currently are which might not happen) that all three teams that came up stayed up.

When did that last happen and who do you think will be going down?

    I think it will be

    Wigan
    Wolves
    Blackpool

    I hope it will be

    Wigan
    West Ham
    Wolves

I hate West Ham, and if they went down think of all the quality players that would be available.

Don't think there's any strong chance of us going down - there's 11 teams more likely, and 2 wins (blackpool/birmingham/west brom) would ensure it
I think Wigan, Wolves and Blackpool will go down

I think the current 3 will go down too.

I remember Everton surviving by the skin of their teeth once on goal difference! The 2008/2009 season was mad too, any one of five teams could have went down on that day. Unfortunately we were one of them.

I think Wigan are more or less doomed. Then it could be anyone.

I will go with Wigan, Wolves, Blackburn.

I think Blackburn have enough to stay up

Wigan Wolves and Birmingham for me

I ****ing hate them but winning a trophy and getting relegated in the same season would be wierd though <laugh>

Would love Birmingham to go down, just to steal their CB's.

I agree with this, but don't sell Willo? Keep him as cover, along with Saylor.

Coloccini, Dann, Willo and Taylor as our 4 centre backs. On form, there isn't many defences who could beat that!

Yeah I like Willo and Tayls. They're good as cover but neither of them should be our first choice.

Dear footballing god, could you please see it in your heart and also to satisfy an overiding sense of hope from myself to relegate the Mackems and persuade the FA to keep everyone else up for this season only.

Yours dribblingly in my trousers at the very thought of it.

Yes... if we sign better players... nothing wrong with that.

Coloccini has been a revelation for us this season. I would put him ahead of Dann and Johnson in the pecking order. I would have Coloccini and Johnson.

He's been good. But i wouldn't get carried away. He is still lightweight and is awful in the air. Good on the ball, reasonable pace and decent reading of the game yes. But Johnson and Dann are better defenders all round.

I think we will have to agree to disagree on this one. I think Coloccini is now playing as a £10 million defender. He is starting to repay all that money and all the faith put in him.

He has improved in the air in my opinion and I think he has bulked up very well, and can hold his own against the top strikers in this league. I think the Championship has helped deal better with the physical side of the game.

And lastly, and most importantly, his hair is absolutely top notch.

Disagree. I like both of them, but I'll probably prefer Dann who's younger(24) than Johnson(27). Either way they wouldn't be the first ones on my list.. that goes to Hangeland/Samba. Dann/Johnson have had BETTER seasons argubably than Willo/Saylor but are they that much better than them? I don't think so. A fit and on-form Taylor is very good, Willo is capable and Colo's been outstanding this year(certainly repaying more than half of the money we paid for him). Samba/Hangeland-Colo would be my choice personally.
