Sensational wins today for the Brits on the Tour, never thought I'd ever see us win the Tour de France, the biggest sports event on Earth after the Olympics and World Cup. Amazing end to the Open Golf too. Not even seen the F1 yet! Its days like this when I'm glad I love sport.
One of my favourite sporting moments today shouting at the screen! Brilliant seeing Wiggins work for Cav and for the win. Awesome! I miss the days of going to France for the final weekend.
What a great afternoons watch, and how the Sky team worked together to get Cav the win, congratulations to Brad Wiggins, Cav and the Sky team and a special mention for Chris Froome, who did an unselfish job, and great credit to him.
I can't decide whether this guy is serious or not?? If Wiggins was doping he would have been found out by now, read the interview from a couple of weeks ago where he says, and I quote "I'm tested by the UCI (International Cycling Union) God knows how many times a year, God knows how many times on this race and the Dauphine. "What more can I do? Other than that? I don't know." Massive achievement from Team Sky. I never thought I'd see a British rider in the Maillot Jaune leading out a British rider in the Rainbow Jersey on the Champs Elysees, an iconic moment that will go down in history. Massive congratulations to Wiggins, Froome and Cavendish but also to Boassan-Hagen, Rogers, Porte, Knees and Eisel, the unsung heroes, because if it wasnt for those guys it could have been a lot different. Bring on the Olympics and La Vuelta!!! Allez Wiggo!
