But he was easily over half before he went off, so did Jenson bother to leave a cars length or not? I reckon either a reprimand for Seb and back to 3rd or he keeps 2nd and my view is justified that Jenson didn't leave enough room or actually intended to do so by pretending he wasn't there.
Like a dog with a bone, Silver But then, if you don't condone cheating, you're a 'hater'. Luckily Seb's got surrogate dad Bernie on his side
Horner in a corner! (© Cosicave) (sigh) But of course, Seb can do no wrong... Has anyone ever seen "Suddenly Last Summer"?
I always knew a sacrificial goat would be used one day and I never expected Lewis to be that guy trying to influence the result by helping out Jenson.
Guys, can you just leave it, you'll never agree on it. How about we all just bask in Alonso's magnificence instead?
SilverArrow - just because we say Seb deserves a penalty doesn't make us haters. No doubt there are some haters on here but in the name of fairness whether you like him or not should not come in to it. Simple as. And looking at the replay on Sky Sports again - you still really believe Jenson gave him no room? Jenson gave him more room than what was required to host a house party.
Oh dear, bitterness coming out now with a unprovoked swipe...... Great race for the Sauber boys. What happened to Maldonado? Just disappeared backwards.
If Vettel gets a penalty, he'll finish 5th which would make the championship standings: Alonso - 154 Webber - 120 Vettel - 110 Also noticed that Hamilton is 62 points behind Alonso and now behind Raikkonen in the championship.
No helping Jenson out would have been if he had come out ahead of Alonso and Vettel and then deliberately held them up. As Brundle said Hamilton was faster than Vettel and had every right to unlap himself as he was quicker
I didn't single out anybody as a hater here so nobody should be offended really unless they are. If Seb was smart he will take the blame and not risk a 3rd place and wash his hands of this incident rather than trying to gain 3 points and risk it all.
You know, I'm gutted for Lewis's result today but what a team player! I'm glad he's dispelling a lot of the old negative myths about himself this season and I believe it will serve him well in the long term. Cf: just look at Alonso now - you reap what you sow, as they say.
As sensible as this would seem, this is motorsport. Either he's ****ed or he gets away with it, there's no middle ground.
