I know, I didnt mean that disrespectivly. Its just you never see him without his cap on so its quite an honor for the guys up on the podium
Some fiction, that! If you honestly believe that is what transpired, it's pretty clear cut whatever way you look at it. Alonso's drive was sensational though, but Perez is my driver of the day!
Just look at the video when it comes around again, Jenson straightens up before Seb and he still keeps going left even when Seb is off the track with just 2 wheels on the track.
Come on Silver, how can you drive at a driver (which I assume is what you are inferring) who isnt on the track?
Alonso AND Ferrari have shown that consistency is key in this championship. Only the experienced and wise come out on top in these championships. Alonso is the solid favourite now.
you mean the normal racing line (he still left Seb space)? Seb went wide on the corner, you realise? Anyway, think people are getting a bit ahead of themselves with Alonso as 3 time winner, long way to go!
Silver, you're in a minority of one. Will you just let it go for once?! He'll probably get away with it anyway, then you'll be telling everyone to "**** off, haters" again.
a shame hes a little bit too late to the party, 89 points is too much, lewis is on the limit with 62 points behind
I'm not saying Seb didn't go off line for an overtake on Jenson, I'm saying it was neck to neck and Jenson didn't leave a cars length for Seb. I'm not saying he drove him off but he seemed intent on not leaving him a cars length which he is meant to.
I think Vettel will get a penalty for that move. I think he was ahead before all four wheels were off the track, but he wouldn't have stayed ahead without leaving the track. It's the same as what Hamilton did in France 2008, making an overtake then leaving the track to make the move stick. Hamilton got a penalty for that move, so I don't see how Vettel could escape a penalty.
This is really critical now for Lewis. He looked to be doing his job at the start of the season but largely through absolutely no fault of his own he finds himself almost out of contention when he should be right up there with Fernando. It's wretched.
Ted said before the race as long as less than half the car is beside you, you're not obliged to leave room. But as this is Vettel and Bernie wants money from a close championship, he'll keep 2nd.
He can't have been neck and neck because Jenson under-cut him. They were neck and neck when Seb was off the track, but Seb was behind when he started to go off the track in the first place. I wish common sense could prevail, and Seb would finish 3rd, but it's a clear-cut 20 second penalty. Why they let Seb go collect the trophy at all, is just a nonsense of this sport!
That conveniently ignores the offensive part of the phrase! Anyway, what any of us thinks counts for nowt in this. Let's see what the stewards decide before we let the **** fly
Btw - how incredible was that pit stop from McLaren for Jenson's second stop? Showing it again on Sky Sports. I genuinely believed Jenson had left the pits with at least one of the wheels not fitted, it was that quick!
Button left the room but Vettel left the track, once a car is off the track its not in the race therefore you have nothing to leave room for...
