Is there not something in the rules that says you cannot alter Qualifying results once they are declared on a Saturday?
I don't like the sound of that, wouldn't it risk a retrospective race result change? They always leave a bad taste for me. I hope they sort out whatever it is before the race. If they're found guilty, as AG says, the pit lane sounds reasonable to me. Obviously, I'm a bit biased though
Oh dear! I dont think the Germans will be very happy if Seb was DSQ of no fault of his own. Last time a German driver was going to be DSQ at Hockenheim resulted in a crowd of people threatening to burn the forest down while F1 was going on etc...
Yeah I believe they're provisional results initially and then can't be altered once they're confirmed, but even if Red Bull aren't disqualified from qualifying they'll still have to change their engine maps and break parc ferme conditions so they'll have to start from the pit lane any way.
Yeah, I think that's what Horner was referring to but who knows? FIA rules often seem flexible and arbitrary
And they say British fans are the most passionate in the world, what the hell would happen if Hamilton was disqualified at Silverstone?
Red bull will be stripped of all WCC points and Seb and Mark will be allowed to carry on etc... You watch!
red bull have got better recently, haven't they? i'd love to see those cheating ****ers come a cropper.
If their times were excluded from qualifying and WEB and VET were sent to the back, in which order would they start?
This is ridiculous. Paddy Lowe said the stewards only sat down to talk about this at 11. The FIA must've known about this yesterday afternoon, why have they left it so late? They say a decision will be made by 1pm, but that's too late because the cars will already be on the grid and Red Bull are probably going to need to make changes to their car. The weather looks really good in Hockenheim, this would've been right up their street, everything's fallen for Alonso in the last few races.
More and more I think this will be Alonso's season as he is having the same form and luck as Seb had last year, even when he is unlucky he still does well.
