Liquidation. So how many mixed messages have we had now? All in the last few days: New Director of Recruitment started last week. New Assistant Coach for Appleton, started last week. Trialists out in Spain. Appealing the 10 point deduction - call out to 2010 creditors to get in touch with TB. Suddenly - oh, I'm sorry, we're going to have to consult on redundancies (undoubtedly as a way of forcing the hand of the players) Oh - also we may liquidate next week. Does Trevor Birch know what he's doing? Or is this poker-face - who will blink first?
I think this threat is genuine. TB has always maintained that we need to sell if we want to start the season. Regarding the appointment of backroom staff, I think mr admin thought more players would have left.
Yeah, I kinda thought that's where he was getting at. Oh well, at least there's Portsmouth Ladies FC....
How the hell can you even try to compare your issues with us PL and even moan the fact a millionaire bailed us out. Poor poor shout. Your club Is a embarrassment to football, don't even mention our club in the same breath. And try to use our inept management to your gross case of stealing
Ye liquidation... Was mentioned on West Brom forum and also another teams forum earlier on today. Liquidation has to have a week long 'notice'. Announcement 24th, date its done is the 1st... This is simply what I have read though...
Who says I was comparing our situation to yours? I was speaking in general terms and referring to teams that go into administration as a whole rather than referring specifically to us. We're not the only club to go into administration in the last few years and Pieking mentioned he gave Leeds fans some stick as well when they went into administration to which my post was in response. Also I wasn't moaning that a millionaire bailed you out, I was just saying that had someone with less wealth had taken over Southampton, you probably wouldn't have been able to afford to pay off all your debts in full. However, I don't appreciate your arrogant attitude and frankly your post seems to be a 'poor poor shout' tbh.
im sorry i find this stupid the combined wages of the staff i would guess must probably be 250000 a year senior players 150000 a week ish how can pompey survive without staff but retain senior players the FA should be trying to emphasize to senior players that they should reach a compremise so that the real people of PFC can continue to make a living and support their families
Jake, you're famous...: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?14620-Pompey-Takeover-Saga/page1353 (The last comment)
Just a quick one Poss. What would have happened to Southampton, without Liebherr's money then? The same as what is going to happen to us, is my answer. Many Southampton fans realise this and I applaud them for it and hope they enjoy a future supporting their club. Southampton were lucky. This is a fair point, as I agree that what Pompey have done is morally wrong and far worse than anything Southampton did, although in this society, it's par for the course, sadly.
Strange how you mention Vitirol on the Saints board PL when that's what, as your well aware being discussed about Pompey fans. You are spot on PM, we are so so lucky we were brought out in the last hours by a millionaire and every Saints fan is so so grateful, but if we hadn't of been we would have folded without doubt but mainly owing the Bank who in turn would have reclaimed their money by selling all our assets. My point has always been, the Portsmouth situation is Nothing like ours and fans who think it is wear the largest blinkers I have ever seen. As I usually post from my phone these days, please excuse crass remarks due to even less time these days to post.
