You are all acting very defensive. Just stating the rumour - fair enough if you dont think it will happen but these rumours do normally have a semblance of truth behind them. Maybe he is agitating for a move behind the scenes. Might not be Norwich but maybe someone like Villa, QPR, Liverpool etc are after him. Who knows?

Gutted. Apparently we're losing Lallana to some piece of **** team, so not too happy.

He's a huge tool. As you can probably tell from this thread the majority of Norwich posters on this board don't like him, so apologies!

Sorry if you feel that way - just was repeating a rumour I heard. Excited about the new season and anxious for us to get some frsh players in so any transfer info I find interesting. Personally I think Soton will survive and finish around 16th a couple of places below us

I think with Bolton Blackburn and Wolves having waved bye-bye, this season it will be a lot tighter. Wigan holding on to Martinez was key, as was Swansea having sought what could be a good fit Laudrup.

From the outside Norwich loosing Lambert looks like a backward step, what with all that continuity and momentum which had been built. It will be interesting to see whether those players can keep the high standards and team ethic and cement themselves in the prem with Hughton. Stoke, QPR and Wigan to dip below the dotted line.

I would get new mates if I were you. This is such a ridiculous story. AL is the modern day Le Tissier in that he is Mr Southampton. It is so not going to happen. If it was Man U it would still not happen. I don't have the vocabulary to tell you just how stupid a rumour this is.

Adam Lallana - making his name here as a Southampton legend - wouldn't go to Norwich. For a start, he'd cost you about £20m.

I thought I liked Southampton until some of the arrogance displayed on this thread. Now I'm not so sure...

Firstly, saints fans, this our board. It is not a WUM of you lot.

Secondly, if you can't see that this guy is a deliberate wind-up on us, I think you need to see someone. There is quite a bit of evidence to suggest he's a not a Norwich fan, so just ignore him like the rest of us do.

Thirdly, we know full well that Lallana isn't going to join us. We didn't need your input- see above; wloh is generally ignored.

Fourthly, there is absolutely no way Norwich is a step down from Southampton at the moment and the quite mind-boggling arrogance of that statement suggests to me that you are going to really struggle in the Prem. If that's your attitude, I can see your fans getting on the backs of your players after a few bad results and it all going downhill rapidly. The bottom line is, here and now, Norwich have a proven 12th placed squad, you haven't. Of course, it could well go tits up for us, you never know, but that sort of ridiculous statement suggests you're the ones who have turned up here to WUM.

At worst for us, we're your equals. Transfermarkt suggests we're a higher value squad at least, which is the only measure we've got until this season ends

Just because you came 12th last season that does not mean Norwich are a step up from Southampton.

Norwich City finished above Aston Villa last season, which of the two did Paul Lambert think was the step up?

Southampton can outdo Norwich in terms of...

    - transfer fees paid
    - wages and overall budget
    - average crowd size
    - stadium quality and size
    - financial resources
    - quality of training ground
    - quality of academy and academy facilities
    etc etc

In the same way Aston Villa outdo Norwich in a most of those things and Paul Lambert left, Saints outdo Norwich as well.

In which of the categories above am I wrong?

If that is you basis for who has the higher valued squad and you think it "is the only measure" there really is no hope.

    Arrogant enough for you!? ;)

    Fair comment.

He's a notorious wum who should have been banned from this board ages ago. I doubt he could point to Norwich on a map.

I think you're [the WUM who came over to the Saints forum] barking way up the wrong tree, with that one. He isn't going anywhere, until a Saints manager says so. And generally, that manager will mean whether Adam plays on the left or the right of midfield.

How does our supposed arrogance reflect how well the club (surely almost entirely unaffected by our 'arrogance' in pre-season) will perform this season?

We always had a good relationship with Saints. This shouldn't be spoiled by one low-grade wum.

City fans like Rob should also see that antagonistic posts on rival boards by our resident wum (seemingly free to roam as he pleases) will result in these kind of retorts by fans of said clubs.

It may be quiet at the moment, but get a grip for feck's sake.
