Quite right - have you stopped going on about how great gallop is now or sending people private messages asking why certain posters have left forums because you liked their tips?

He's going to be absolutely devastated - more classics than Charles Dickens, more group 1s than you've had psychiatrist sessions but because a few people on an internet forum take part in a fun poll and don't mention him it's proof that he's a rubbish trainer who ruins his horses. Right oh.........

I'd happily have him training one of mine if it were possible. As the owner I'd like to choose the jock though, and decide the races he goes for.

The biggest testament to AOB's talents is the way in which he handled Istabraq. I think several of the top trainers, given the ammo Coolemoore produces year-in, year-out, would make a pretty good go of it. Gosden, Stoute, Cecil would likely have produced as many G1 winners. Where the whole operation suffers, IMHO, is in trying to "cover all the bases" - i.e. trying to win as many G1s as possible and therefore sometimes running horses over inadequate trips. That and not having a top stable jockey.

Whilst we're sing the praises of trainers a special well done to Sir Michael Stoute - he's finally managed to find Carlton house's level and it's the market leader for the apprentice handicap at Redcar next month <ok>

Dan, not sure if your referring to me there, if so you got me confused with someone else. For one I don't know Gallop and two I've only ever inboxed one person on here.

Fortunately I have a life away from here but do enjoy the banter without wanting to massage my ego, to be honest most of what I know about horse racing is as a result of coming on here but sadly my love of sport is on the sports field playing football and cricket, my love for supporting football went by the wayside when the so called pros think they are bigger than the game and the fact I support Sunderland

Its just a weak division at present, solid horses but no real top Group 1 animals, same goes for the 1m2 Division now that So You Think has retired.

Camelot will have a field day with this lot.

Frankel a wonder miler in a weak mile division, there is 3 special horses in the world just now, Frankel, Camelot and Black Caviar. The rest are pretty average, the golden era is over for now.

A couple of years ago you had New Approach, Zarkava, Zenyatta, Rachel Alexndra, Curlin, Ravens Pass, Henrythenavigator, Street Sense, Duke Of Marmalade, Goldikova, Conduit, Harbinger, Yeats, Sea The Stars and other quality fillies like Lush Lashes, Darjina, Halfway To Heaven and probably more that havent sprung to mind.

    Compare that to now.

I'll be having one mar punt tanite

    8.00 Haydock - FRENCH PRESS 5/1

The betting suggests the Johnston newcomer is a hotpot, but at these odds you should still pick up a bit of decent place money if he fails ta win
