Realistically though, how many opinions really do matter in the bigger picture? My opinions on pretty everything don't really matter, they'll probably never change anything, except for the way I choose to live, of course, but in the grand scheme of things, they have no effect on anything. It doesn't mean I shouldn't voice them, it's just conversation. I know your comments aren't aimed solely at me but as I've said, I've seen clips here and there, and have also seen certain "stars" of the show on different programmes, ie Mark Wright, Amy Childs... I suppose I'm basing it more on the fact that every character is supposedly similar on the show, so the fact that I've seen 4 or 5 of them means I can pretty much imagine what it's like. I completely understand where you're coming from, but the points made haven't been as simple as "not seen it, but it's crap." there are plenty more factors and I'm sure everyone has at least seen a few clips of (e.g.) Britains Got Talent, so without actually watching the show you can still see what it's like.
I agree about Towie but Mclean isn't **** at all, it's just nonsense that gets spouted so often on here it becomes accepted as true. People say his touch is bad but that's ridiculous when you actually watch him trapping long balls from miles away while a defender hangs onto him. I don't see a problem with McLean at all, I'm not saying he's great but I don't think he's a big weakness in the team either. He does his job OK. But everyone else doesn't so why aren't they criticised for not working like him? McLean will run from one side of the penalty area to the other side to close down what is essentially a pretty unthreatening defensive clearance but he doesn't give a **** how important it is, if there is any chance he can get there he'll make sure he does. If that kind of work rate should be a given then the other strikers are worse surely because they don't even have that? Anyway it's all irrelevant because he's not just about running he's much more skillful than that. There isn't a better player in our squad for hanging onto the ball while being fouled. Agree completely. It's all ****.
It's true that he can control a long ball with a defender hanging off him, his problem is that he can't control a pass from three feet away. I think he must need a long time to think about what he's going to do. Which is ironic, as in front of goal, he can only score if he's got no time to think at all.

He's scored 9 goals in 64 appearances for a team that's done pretty well while he's been here. If you were to rate goals to game ratios, 40-50 goals in 64 games being 'outstanding' etc, then 9 goals would be it the '****' category. He cost us £1.3 million (not sure what that is in euro's). That's not his fault, but we massively over paid for him. Therefore a **** signing. So far the very definition of ****. He's basically just not good enough for us IMO. As for that Maria. Just had to google her and she has a face like a slapped arse.

I watch the news. I read the news. The news covers both shows as they are so in the public eye. Every other fooker in the country watches them so I am force fed every minute detail whether I want it or not. I know the premise of the shows. I dont need to watch them to know I despise what they stand for.
I don't think that Madhog had much of a problem with me, we had our disagreements but they were never malicious, we just debated them until agreeing to disagree. As far as I'm aware, the only people who have a problem with me (and trust me, it's mutual) are you and Tickler. This may surprise you, but 2 people does not qualify as "everyone else".

this board makes me laugh these days, somebody puts there opinion, then other people disgagree with it, but straight away jump on the defensive by saying there opinion is going to get shot and there not allowed to say it, before anybody has even said anything .. then the same old people spend more time having a go at other fans then they do actually commenting on the topic, putting things they think are really clever and wise when in fact they just look arrogant..and the funny thing is its usually the older posters or the old enough to know better posters who come across like this, and usually the younger ones who put there points across with dignity..all in my opinion of course, which is also my opinion that mclean is a good athlete, but if i wanted that i would watch the olympics, i like football...yes he may be better then me but i also bet he has never scored straight from a corner on bacongarth like i have
