He is not an exciting player Just a solid ball winner which every top team needs to avoid getting overrun in midfield
So when he wins the ball in midfield and then 'bombs' forward gliding around two or three players on the way to the opposition box that doesn't excite you mate?
Not only am I right and you are wrong you have a ****e way of giving your opinion I have said before that I think Diakite is our most important signing of the summer but that does not mean he is an exciting player to watch His main role for QPR will be to win the ball and play it simple to a playmaker like Faurlin If there is space for him to run into then he should do it
You said that he is not an exciting player!! Did you see any of our games last season? Seeing him get the ball down and then accelerate away from 2 or 3 players with great speed was pretty damn exciting. So was watching him smash the winner in against Arsenal! In fact, winning the ball was the weakest part of his game when he first joined, leading to him getting sent off!! He managed to get used to the speed of the league and when to go in and when not to and he has the makings of a top, top midfielder.
While I'd agree that he should pass the ball to Faurlin, he won't necessarily do that. Diakite loves running with the ball and will do so at any opportunity. He is exciting because of this, and I, for one, would not attempt to changing him. How was it you described him Col, a schoolboy taking on the world? Classic.
He was not up to the speed of the premiership at first and was to late into every challenge Mark Hughes should of took him off that game after 20mins But he has been bought in as a ball winner and he is going to be one of the best about this season
Andy, at least he must have given you some heart-stopping moments when he tried to run the ball out of his own six yard box?!! He has a deceptively sharp turn of pace. He's an exciting player in my book.
At first he was exciting in a heart-stopping way, often over-running the ball in defensive positions but I think he has adjusted to the pace of our game now and will bring an added dimension to our midfield. I think he and Faurlin could be a seriously effective midfield partnership...
I wouldn't really call players like Yaya Toure, Scott Parker or others like them exciting players I see them as very important players in a team, but I would pay to watch them every week They are players whose main strength is hard bloody work for the team
I hope he scores a few of these
