But Gerrard says the worn state of the KC pitch has not helped City's promotion push, and hopes to see improvements made in summer.

"The tempo we try to play at, and the passing we try, isn't helped by the pitch,"

Another complaint about the state of the pitch. It's been said a few times this season (don't ask by who) so there must be something in it.

both teams play on the same pitch and we should be more used to it than the away team. If the game we play isn't suited to the pitch then change the tactics, Its not rocket science.

Yes, lets change the way we play 5 games away from the end of season when we are trying to get into the playoffs when we could sort the pitch out and play the way we want to...

yes, lets relay the pitch 24 hours before a critical home game & hope that its in a good enough state to play for the rest of the season.

and ban the egg chasers just in case they mess it up.

It has been said in the past the rugby doesn't mess the pitch up. And we have had plenty of time to sort the pitch... Like has been said, it has been mentioned earlier in the season.

a couple of key points: we have had plenty of time to sort the pitch. but we either (a) can't or (b) have chosen not to. It needs to be sorted but it's late in the day to start now. Adapting to play to the conditions would be easier.

Your argument lost all credibility when you said "let's relay the pitch 24 hours before a critical game"

I think the reason our home form is so poor is becuase we played to defensive becuase this is how we usually line up at home I mean maybe starting with chester, hobbs and gerrard is to defensive for a home team

perhaps you missed the point. At this stage of the season it would be easier to try and adapt the tactics to the conditions than sorting the pitch.

I disagree. As has already been said, it's the same for both teams. I think the continuing (and increasing) ****ness of our home performances is as much down to the psyche of the players as it is the pitch, probably more so. Gerrard has obviously noticed the boos, so I'm sure the rest of the team has, and it must be bad enough knowing you're playing in a ground that you've previously performed poorly in.

I think we'll win more games if we score more goals than the opposition, plus the more strikers we select the more goals we'll score.. as regards the pitch, couldn't we just relay half of it before the game and then relay the other half at half-time?

Gerrard talks perfect sense, well done that lad! In the last few years we've picked up plenty of fans which is a good thing, but a fair percentage of them are clueless plonkers like TWF who don't understand tactics and the need to get behind the team. They are the kind of fans who were on here the other week slagging off Corry Evans saying he's not good enough. The thing is they will never learn but at least the players realise that there are a lot of ignorant fans out there.

I have to agree with the previous poster, the lack of knowledge amongst some fans in just stupid, luckily i think most posters on here are actually normal fans who understand what NP is trying to do. Anyone who boo's us when our back four are just passing it along the back four. Patience is the key at home, teams will know to just keep pressing and making sure we don't get any chances early on as they know our fans will get on their back. I can gurantee that will be in Sean O D's team talk.

you can keep a ball for 90 minutes and not win a game...the facts speak for themsleves, we have relagation home form, ..so people can justify patient football as much as they like..the results are there in black and white for all to view...
sticking it in the onion bag is all that matters..
