Laudrup names a 23 man squad for the USA tour Michel Vorm, Ashley Williams, Alan Tate, Leon Britton, Andrea Orlandi, Danny Graham, Wayne Routledge, Garry Monk, Luke Moore, Angel Rangel, Kemy Agustien, Mark Gower, Gerhard Tremmel, Fede Bessone, Chico, Jonathan De Guzman, Gwion Edwards, Jazz Richards, Nathan Dyer, Stephen Dobbie, Leroy Lita, Ben Davies, Michu. http://www.swanseacity.net/news/article/usa-tour-squad-256002.aspx
surprised dobbie getting a go as well as monk, tate, lita and moore, would have taken more young kids
No surprise for me, these are the ones who have got to show they deserve a place in the team, Laudrup will be looking at cutting players when they get back. A 23 man squad is where he wants to be
They deserve their chances Musty, and all of them are under contract, so its not a simple thing. If we cut players they will get compensation for that as the contract will state.
ML will need to cut 3 at least after the tour to make room for the team GB players, and that's if there are no more new signings which is unlikely.
Gwion Edwards and Ben Davies will surely be outside of the 23. Could it be that he's asked Curtis who are the most promising local youngsters are and decided to take these 2 along so he can see what the standard is like? Could it be an indication that he still wants a defender and a winger? I'd be worried if I was Situ or Obeng....I like the look of both of these so am hoping that they've been left behind purely because Laudrup's decided they're definitely staying but will be outside of the 23.
Superswan said he's going to be there, I would but will be in the wrong part of the states. Wonder if we be able to get this on the net somewhere ?
these players have impressed Mr laudrup during training and as its a level playing field then the players that he has chosen deserve to go. Joe we dont know about yet and he could not include sinclair as he is dithering about a new contract so it is sensible to take the players that Mr ludrup knows he have got for the coming season...I am flying out with my wife and two grand kids next week and will be watching two out of the three games and having a look around parts of califonia......I hate driving over there even though i have done it many times...
I'm surprised that Situ isn't having a chance , the times I've watched him play (reserves matches admittedly) he looks comfortably on the ball and can put in a shift when it comes to tackling and finding a telling pass .
