With just a week to go until the Men's football starts, and 6 days for the Women's, who do people think is going to win it? Brazil are favourites, with Spain just behind, and Team GB are 4th. Personally I think Brazil will win it, their squad is pretty good, and I think Neymar will be top scorer. I don't know that much about the women's, does anyone know much about it? I also think Team GB will crash out spectacularly, Stuart Pearce is a ****e manager and they playeers wont perform; although I think the Welsh and Scottish players will make a better account of themselves then the English. That being said, Cork will obviously be the player of the tournement
There isn't any Scots is there? Personally, and predictably, I think it will be a Brazil v Spain final
GB v Brazil on TV tonight. Think we'll have a better idea after that. Strange friendly to arrange unless Pearce wants them to experience the best. It will either buoy them up or knock the stuffing out of them.
I am going to the GB v Uruguay game and have had a list through on what is Prohibited and restricted. Do they really need to tell me No Fire arms, all types of knifes, offensive weapons such as sharpened combs and bayonets. Fireworks and Explosives. This list is endless. Some of the better things not allowed into the stadium is Bicycles, Skateboards, roller-skates, replica guns and controlled drugs. Again the list is endless and quite funny in parts, in fact I had better check the underpants list
Don't forget the Team GB Women vs Sweden is on before Team GB men vs Brazil! Personally, I think the men will see the entire tournament as a series of glorified friendlies, especially with it being pre-season, but the women will I expect take it a lot more seriously.
So who is going to what? I have Mexico v Gabon and South Korea v Switzerland in the mens, and GB v Brazil in the womens. Plus some hockey match.
0-0 final score for the Women against Sweden. We had a goal disallowed though which I think was onside!
