I can see a similar scenario to last season where he gets a few chances from the bench and then grabs them with both hands. I'd love it if he did and would reckon that I wouldn't be alone in that.
I believe we saw a very improved Jamie Mackie towards the latter part of last season, in every aspect of his game. This I reckon is largely down to the improved coaching staff of Hughes and his team. Especially Mackies movement and positional skills seems markedly better. Imo you'll struggle to find a more eager to learn player than our Jamie. And with the new contract and his importance in us staying up I'm 100% sure MH won't even contemplate the idea.
My view is pure and simple. Mackie is a proven Ranger who has demonstrated a 'ne'er say die' attitude for the club and is prepared to run his bollocks off for lost causes. There's no doubt in my mind that he has some versatility and could do a job in various forward positions. If we're truly progressing as a club then I want to see us holding onto our better players and getting rid of the dross. To retain a Dyer, or an SWP, or a DJ, or a Barton, or a Hulse, but part with a Mackie would be very disappointing. Mackie has said that his personal journey to the PL has taken a long time and, now that he's here, he's gonna fight to stay. So why the **** would he want to go to a dead end club like Blackburn, martialled by that idiot?

MH as a player was always someone that would give you 100% effort on the pitch. Mackie in that resect is similar to our boss and I cannot see him wanting to sell JM because of that. fair enough JM may not be the most skillful of players at QPR, but I for one would rather have 11 JM's on the pitch showing heart and desire and giving 100% effort raher than one or two "prima donnas" we have at the club that have proved to be a waste of money, time and effort.
