What ever happened to that Man beast Julio Baptista? He seemed quite good for you, tore us apart one game, was labelled a flop and seems to have disapeared from football altogther? Think a bit of muscle like that would be good for your team.
Yeah absolutely agree, hopefully there is something in those M'Villa rumours. We do seem to be strongly linked to Brazil's Ganzo - that guy is a bit of a beast also.
I thought he was a midfielder? M'villa looked good in patches, but he gave the ball away a fair bit in the Euro's. Is he likely to provide as many assists as Song? And would Song then be behind Ramsey, Wiltshire and Arteta going into the last 2years of his contract - Could be another RVP/Walcott scenario!
According to the BBC three clubs have tabled bids for RVP also he wont be going on the far east tour http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18922208
I'd be very surprised if he sold for anything lower than £20-25M. Brazilian clubs milk every penny from their players, he's been an international for several years now and most in Brazil think (or thought) he was Kaka's heir apparent.
He made his full debut in 2010 against the USA and his first u21 apps a year earlier. As I said he's lost his place recently to Oscar. He'll still cost a shedload... not sure if he's quick enough or strong enough to cope in England. Obviously he's got a lot of ability on the ball and the likes of David Silva have succeeded, but the jury would definitely be out.
2010 hardly makes it several years does it ? I would be very susprised if he even qualified for a work permit
Okay, a 'couple' of years then, fair enough. That's a good point, I suppose you could say he has 'exceptional talent'. He should get a few more caps at the Olympics anyway... He'll get the work permit if it's shown that he's currently involved in the national side, wouldn't he? I can't say I know how it works. He'd be an upgrade on Rosicky or Ramsey anyway.
The work permit rule is something to do with a certain % of competitive games in a certain number of years.I don't think the olympics count as the're not a FIFA sanctioned tournament
