Pretty damning article this. http://www.thisishullandeastriding....ct-Hull-City/story-16567363-detail/story.html
Yes, that is a direct "dig" at Nick Barmby. Not really fair tho, IMHO, as Nick cannot respond for legal reasons.
What legal reasons are they? I posted a thread about Nb before. What course of action is open to him?
Possibly unfair or wrongful dismissal in the tribunal, or breach of contract in the high court. Nick would.be ill advised.to.talk to the media in case it prejudices any case he may look to bring
Me too but obviously people will read into whatever they want. Unless, of course, there won't be any appeal or challenge and we'll never find out his side from him.
Lets just clear this up once and for all. Nick is currently suing the Allams/HCAFC for unfair dismissal - it is an going legal process that still has a long way to go (September is almost certainly the earliest it could be resolved), so to ensure he doesn't do anything that might hinder his case he won't be saying anything.
I backed the Allams through the whole Nick saga and i still do now, at the end of the day they're the owners and if they want to dig at Nick Barmby, let them do it, there was clearly money to spend since they're spending it now which sort of goes against what Nick was saying
How do you know there was money to spend when Barmby was in charge? All you have is the words of Allam senior and junior.
Maybe rather than making very unfair assumptions it is better not to speculate about something when you have no idea of the facts (I'm only talking about the current legal case NB is perusing). I am sure if you had been unfairly sacked in your opinion you wouldn't just walk away without doing anything about it.
Why would there be money now and not then? Nick Barmby said himself in January he didn't want to make any new signing because he was happy with the team he had so it's his own fault
I couldn't say in tribunal proceedings. I know that there are limited circumstances that allow people who are not involved in High Court proceedings can get a copy of Court documents. It is not an automatic right to see them
These threads never go anywhere, everyone already has an opinion and they never change in any of these discussions. We might as well just wait until the unfair dismissal case and discuss things once information become a matter of public record.
Wise words OLM. Do you know if the claim has been filed at the tribunal yet or if it's still at the correspondence stage?
