i had to look them up - there's been so many of them! ;)

still stand by what i said. we don't buy players on name alone, we buy them because a) they suit our style and b) they have the right kind of character to fit in to the squad and c) they are underrated by others, therefore they are cheaper. we don't pay any of our players more than £20k a week yet we can still compete in the top division. says a lot about how good those players actually are and when the bigger clubs eventually come sniffing we will sell them at monumental profit and do the same again and again and again... its sustainable and it works for us and our fans are happy with it, so no, players like cisse would not work for us. park, maybe, but is he better than howson? no.

I was hoping that you may look at this with level eyes .. we both love our clubs but to state that Howson is better than Park sorry but that would be a isolated viewpoint if asked to a premiership fan poll

Look at the question: Park V Howson... take a deep breath then please explain your statement it would be very interesting.
I must comment that 20K a week is something i do agree with but that is out of control and not the fault of anyone in particular and Norwich have done really well to do what they have but alas this is the focal point of world football, a theatre of complete rubbish IMO but if you have travelled around the world during the season you know how easy it is to hook into the Premiership ... it's showbiz and QPR now know this and so to compete here in the long run then its unfortunate but it seems the only way to go. If you are in the big time then righty or wrongly you have to think big. I hope Norwich City survive and I am sure QPR will this year hence the names and experience being purchased to ensure that happens ... next season then we kick on again so expect an another increase. Park regardless of the player he is will make the club a fair contribution to achieve this until West London gets another landmark. I am sure we will be envied but again that's part of the course in this crazy game. If Howson is the player you believe how long would you be able to keep him?

We all know things can change and thats why TF is doing what he is doing so that QPR will once again regain the status that any fan sand club aspire to. I state again about QPR its about location, flair and money.

And this is from a person that also said this:
Just a sad bitter muppet. Obviously he knows nothing about football and just has some dislike for QPR.
You see what happens when family members mix?
Had enough of Norwich now. Boring little club with Delia. They will go down this season and we shouldn't hear from them again.
    Let's move on boys.

just for the record, i have always liked qpr - one of my favourite clubs <ok>

not sure what ellers is saying - he has backed up what i said initially, albeit i forgot about diakite.

dt, i have looked at it from a neutral perspective, or at least as neutral as possible for any of us. park is a hard working footballer who has done well for himself but he isn't a great player. he's good, not great. i think £2m is about right for him and he won't let you down. however, if he were a great player, all the other big clubs would have been in for him. lambert wanted howson at villa but is being talked about in the £10m bracket so they can't afford him, and unless you've watched him you are going to struggle to understand what a good player he is. he reminds me of a young paul scholes, the way he breaks late from deep in midfield. captain of leeds at 19 and a future england midfielder without a shadow of doubt. i get your point about showbiz and i agree with this to be fair - but signing 'showbiz' players does not make you a good team, nor successful. building a team who know each others roles and are committed to the cause makes you successful. not sure qpr have quite got the balance right yet. that'll take time...

Totally agree about a team not being able to be purchased but it does help .. we should know as we had a team in the championship built on on those principles and was very strong ... we then tries to tinker without the money being there for the next step. I have watched Howson and I have to add he is a good prospect but gets lost an lot in games but he is learning.I played at a good level and I am sorry even if you are kidding you cannot mention a young Scholes as he was the best in his position in this league within two years of making his debut. Either of us can claim anything as a ball hasn't been kicked yet and of course if we must perform now in order to cement our future. we will all have to wait and see. On another matter is there a more skilful player in this league than Taarabt because if he performs this season we are talking about a 40 million pound player ... very few are gifted like this player and if he gets the other side of his game together then we QPR will have the best player in the league never mind Howson

one thing is for sure, qpr are under a heck of a lot more pressure than norwich next season. we are targeting survival - i guess you're ambitions are a tad higher than that now! good luck <ok>

Yeah I am not fully comfortable with that but we have made a rod for our own back ...TF keeps us in the news at all costs and so will the journos waiting for the first failure.
So far QPR look to be gelling and it will help that we don't have Barton to bugger things up ... at the end of the season we became a lot harder to beat ( apart from the Chelsea game) and were at last looking very solid at home. If and if that continues then we are tipped to be better ... we couldn't have got worse at times. I think that the three coming up may find it a struggle and the next season may be easier on Swans, Norwich and QPR. If we do push on then 2013/14 I can see success coming sincerely

you need to keep your home record going. that's going to be vital as its a tough place to go. its massive to stay up next season because of the extra tv revenue in 2013-14, but i do feel saints will have a very good season - they've made some very astute signings and have some great attacking players. i think they'll be fine but reading and west ham will be in the mix. as i said at the start of last season, there are about 13 teams that could finish anywhere between 8th and 20th - there isn't much to choose between those sides and i think it'll be just as tight again.

    Agree with that DT <ok>
None of the promoted teams have really set the world alight with signings.
Reading have bought 6 Championship players (maybe not Pog) and are favs to go straight back down.
Saints have made 1-2 screwd signings but will struggle.
West Ham (and people worry about our expectations)? Other than bigSam and his exp in this league will also struggle.

agree about west ham ellers <ok>

i think you're wrong about saints though - rodriguez is an outstanding prospect, as is clyne - i wish norwich had snapped both of them up - and davis from rangers is a handy, proven footballer. i think they'll finish above qpr, norwich and swansea! reading are a difficult one to call as they appear to be throwing money around - depends how that affects the team harmony in berkshire i suppose. west ham are the most likely for the drop in my opinion, especially as i expect that they will be sitting about 15th in december and will then sack big sam cos he doesn't play the 'west ham way' and then they will plummet with someone like sven in charge! <laugh>

Agree with most of that <ok>
Although i only said Saints would struggle. Clyne would have been a good signing for Norwich and i think will make the step up. We were after him in the Warnock days.
Not sure about the rest of the team. I watched them play Reading at home on TV and they blew it. Not enough quality.
Totally agree about the 'Harmony' at Reading. They were not a good side last season but managed to get a great run at the end. Their team was not full of stars but played for the manager (maybe a poorer example than Norwich under PL). That is now not the case with 5-6 new players. Plus tbh i don't rate the new players (championship at best). West Ham fans still think that they are a top 10 club and will be under pressure but once again i was not impressed with them last season either and expect them to struggle..

Not sure Clyne a good signing by Saints. There was much talk of Warnock wanting him at QPR but he was never remotely interested in him.

    ===============================================
    I've always felt he's a bit overrated.
