As soon as I seen the story I had to laugh at the match delegate from NI giving a positive report Without joking I won't wear a Celtic top in my own garden in Belfast in case some individual fanny takes offence and sticks a petrol bomb through my window, it's hardly a country known for it's unbiased judgement of sectarian issues.
So your belief is that there was but one racist celtic fan and that he has now been caught? The world is surely a better place from now on.
What's your agenda here? You seem to be jumping all over Celtic while supporting Rangers. We (Celtic) have a lot of idiots in our ranks as well, of which that monkey chanting **** head is one. I've been all over Europe following the team and there is always one or two who get a bit out of control but we usually sort it out ourselves among the supporters.
You referenced a thread highlighting the racist behaviour of Celtic fans. My belief was that there was a thread referencing the racist behaviour of Celtic fans. It turns out you were wrong. As Mick has suggested, any racist behaviour by the Celtic support is generally dealt with. Which is why I am proud to say we have very little problem with it.
Well you may not support Celtic or Rangers but you have evidently not taken a neutral approach to all the Old Firm discussions on here.
I'm sorry Mick but as an English person I can't help but react to the revolting stories I come across regarding celtic fans over and over again. Rangers have a few "headcases" following them but in general their fans are just the average, peaceful, law-abiding every-day scotch.
Most scotch support them. My family lived way up north in Nairn for a few years, I witnessed at the local school which my little brother attended that most kids wore Rangers tops to football practice, there were 1 each of celtic, Arsenal and Newcastle and 2 Man Utd tops. Rangers = Scotland. Edit: Think there may have been an Arsenal top too, and that's FACT.
It's another one of these situations where you are either on the wind up or you don't know what you are talking about.
What's a wind up? That most scotch support Rangers or that most English are neutral but with a dislike of celtic and what their fans get up to? If you want to join the Greatest League in the World you'll have to erradicate your bigoted fans/mentality or you'll be battling for the wooden spoon against the mighty Gers (and possibly the SFA) for ever more. Long may that continue is my preference.
Google "mark walters celtic bananas" or refer to the recent Brazil v scotland match... Why are you denying it, what's the point?
Oh I see, you are referencing something that happened a quarter of a century ago and a German guy. Ok.
