So who was it that said the whole Carroll SAGA, was just a cunning plan to put a fire under him? Because I am starting to think they may have a point!
BBC report: Red's 'will sell Carroll for £20M'... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18896710 Brenden Rodgers apparently said this when questioned: " all "worthwhile" offers will be considered.." Ok, now lets look at the whole interview: This is another example of twisted Journalism... absolutely pathetic! Firstly these seem to twist through parts of the interviews putting differn't sentances from differnt topics togethers in order for the final quote to look like exactly what they want. Secondly where the **** did they get the figure 20M from. BBC always reaching new lows. I remember the other day when they tryed to blame one of our disasters on Liverpool fans (that is all i will say on this); Absoulte SCUM worse than The Sun! Though saying that I'd be happy with 20 million for Andy... Unless Newcastle are buying (as that is simply embarrassing lol)
Not sure if it is just me...but I get a feeling a lot of posters aren't too keen on Rodgers??? Whether it's his attitude/arrogance/Carroll saga/Don't like the Northern Irish??? I don't know!
I like the Northern Irish. I was born there and half my family hail from there, or the south. I like BR, too. Just my opinion but, quite frankly, I couldn't care less if BR was the most arrogant man in the universe if he brings sustained success to the club. Arrogance in their managers doesn't bother Man U or Arsenal or City fans, currently, and didn't bother Chelsea fans under Mourinho, previously.
The only thing thats disappointed me with Rogers is this whole Carroll thing. Other than that I have been extremely impressed. I also like that he is British.
seems to me at least rodgers has been fairly clear... if tevez can play under mancini i suppose carroll can still get to play for us if he keeps his head. he has to know now he's not wanted and has been told that. rodgers is basically telling him to shut up about loans here.
I have nothing against Rodgers. You need an attitude (an arrogance if you like) about you to be a top coach IMO. As we all know, Fergie didn't get to where he is without breaking a few tea cups, hair dryers or Beckham's skin Obviously, you get the odd one offs such as Paisley but even he supposedly had a rough streak to him if he got annoyed enough Rodgers is young and pretty much unproven so I suspect people have their doubts but he has got his break and deserves a chance and some time to get things how he wants them. I certainly don't want to see us looking for a fifth manager since the summer of 2010 To be honest, the only part of Carroll situation that as annoyed me is the media. If they are right though then the fact Rodgers had made his mind up before seeing Any train is a bit of a piss take but I don't believe that to be true The only bit that as annoyed me with Rodgers is that he said he wouldn't speak about potential transfer targets but then mentioned Dempsey yesterday. I'm a firm believer in sticking to your word
all i'd say is don't mistake wariness having been burned with hodgson with people being anit rodgers... there may well be a bit of that in there too but i think mostly guys want to see what he's like.
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11669/7913489/Allen-confirmed-as-Reds-target Rodgers is now talking about Allen, wish we could keep it in house!
He was only answering a question. Go back and read the direct quotes only Edit: he doesn't mention any named player, he just said he would be interested if any Swansea player became available in answer to something along the lines of "are you interested in Allen or any other Swansea player?"
But that is my point, he didn't talk about targets there He did talked about Dempsey yesterday though
