Nice summary but what you fail to mention is that according to our friend Supers everything Norwich do is brilliant... <laugh>

To be fair mate, our feathered friends havent done to much wrong in the last year or two but if Supers had said something stupid or arrogant I would have pointed it out, just as I have said the opposite on this thread.

Supers mistake here is thinking that we're ignorantly blind.

i do not believe you to be ignorant, blind, nor ignorantly blind, but i do think you're hoping your new keeper is better than he really is. and that's the word isn't it - 'hoping'.

He doesn't need to be the next Paul Cooper or Richard Wright. He needs to be good enough to be our number one while we build a team to get us promoted. I think he is good enough.

i don't believe that either, though as tractorbhoy has said, we haven't done much wrong in the last three years so there's not too much to moan about. so much so that many arguments on our board are people trying to find something to moan about!

Well this debate got completely blown out of all proportion didn't it!!

I have the same concerns regarding Loach. From what I've read he is a decent shot stopper but not very commanding, which I actually think is one of the most important things in a GK. I am slightly concerned that he might not be the long term answer but at 150k it could potentially be a bargain.

I think supers opinion is generally usually spot on, although in the past couple of years some of his comments have become arrogant and slightly ridiculous (with the whole Ipswich/Norwich comparison) but I see nothing wrong in this thread. As he says ALB is an Ipswich supporter and so was Wright. I actually have a sneaking suspicion that come the end of the season we will have a loan GK as number 1 again (Stockdale)!!

I very much welcome the recruitment of Scott Loach, I think it is a massive step in the right direction and at 24 he will get even better! Let's give him all the support and encouragement he deserves <ok> I couldn't care less about the opinions of other clubs supporters, afterall Supers is just a frustrated FIFA manager! I like the signings that Jewell has made so far, it very much reminds me of the Burley strategy of the mid 90s and not before time. Time will tell on Loach and there is no reason at all why he can't do a magnifercant job for the Town! <ok>

if anything the Priskin example bears out that the club they player is playing for, the manager and players around them are every bit as important as ability.

What people forget about goalkeepers is there is a lot more responsibility than other positions. It's massively about confidence, experience and swagger.

This is why ALB has got such a bad press. You won't get the best out of any keeper until he's playing regularly and moulding a relationship with his defenders.

He was not my first choice but i think he will be a good addition to the team and it was nice to see Blackburn fail to Poach Loach.......

I'm sure that despite Blackburn's efforts to poach Loach, he'll wear his broach with pride when he boards the team coach!
