Why don't you offer a swap for Berbatov? Two birds with one stone. Three if you count maybe annoying Spurs fans.
Not intended to wum but does Fergie not have his eye on a cm? None really being linked with you boys and it's a position you really need to address IMO.
We have all been saying the same thing, links with Moutinho but nothing more than paper talk. Sky reckon Man Utd City and Juve have all made bids for RVP but i reckon City have to be favourites purely because they will offer more £££
I got a funny feeling United may actually land RVP, despite this wum. If he's being honest about moving for the sole reason he wants to win things and it's not about the money. And at united it's likely he'll win trophies
Also linked with Eriksen, but I'd still prefer a more defensive or box to box midfielder. Buying RVP would be a bit like buying Veron in 01 when what we really needed was replacements for Stam and Johnsen. Or Berbatov in 08 when we already had Rooney, Ronaldo and Tevez. A great player who will give us something extra, but not necessarily what we really need right now.
Rooney into CM to accommodate him perhaps? Not too shabby a replacement for Scholes either. It's certainly possible.
United tend to do well in the premiership when they have a powerful strikeforce. If the midfield is not top notch they will come up a cropper against good European (or even top English) sides. If we do not significantly reinforce that midfield I can see us challenging for the league title but really struggling in the CL.
Not sure I really want RVP at Old Trafford... Not a position that needs £25 million spent on...Especially at his age. I Wouldn't complain about signing him provided a solid midfielder (Fellaini or Tiote?) came in, but midfield needs sorting as priority. We have had no problems scoring goals - Kagawa will chip in with a few, and Welbeck will only improve his goal record.
Fellaini perhaps, I don't think Tiote is anywhere near good enough though. Personally I think it's time Phil Jones was given a position of his own and I would like that to be that of a defensive midfielder. He's been played all over the shop so far and it can't do him any good, we've enough right backs and enough centre halves so if he plays there I believe he would be class and it would solve that position. He should be nurtured as such. He's too good to be the next John O Shea.
