i only practice on you darling. to be honest, this is unbelievably funny! you're getting yourself in a jonah-style lather over a keeper who i suspect even you, deep down if you think about it, doubt the ability of. by the way warky, i rate messi very highly indeed. he'd be an astute signing for you
nope i don't doubt his ability, thats why i'm pretty much certain as anybody could be that he will be a success!
fair enough. i won't be on here telling you i told you so but i am putting it out there that i think he's not the keeper you think he is. on a side note guru, i'm impressed by your ability at darts. i'm lucky to hit the board! its one of those games that no matter how much i play i don't see improvement. i blame the flights maybe that'll make you feel better
**** me what the hell's happened here? Supers, for once you're talking an incredible amount of **** that would usually only spout from the lips of Carra or Beefy. Of course it's better to have lads who want to be playing for the shirt, ALB included. No-one has ever doubted ALB's effort that's for sure. Why are you commenting on a keeper you know nothing about? Why not just say 'actually, I know nothing about this keeper whatsoever so I'm not going to spout **** about him' So let me sum up for you: The jury is out. He has a tremendous amount of ability but had a bad run of form and was on the end of ongoing abuse from the Watford fans - but still he made a point of trying to get them back on side. A few years ago he was the single most exciting goal keeping prospect in England and was outstanding for the U21s. It's not worked for him at Watford but coming to his hometown club and being handed the number one shirt with a ground half full of Town fans backing him for better or worse is his dream move and I'm sure he'll take the opportunity with both hands.
I sure hope so Supers! We desperately need some League football at the Abbey (or whatever god awful name its called this week!)
jesus christ. let me explain. i have watched scott loach many, many times. i was positioned there for a club i was working for in 2009 to watch a number of watford matches, even the reserves, not to mention all the other times i've seen him play. i was not there specifically to watch loach but i wrote reports of his performances and i wasn't impressed. i am not saying it is not better to have players who want to play for the shirt - i would never say that - but i am saying that just because he wants to be there, it will not cover up his flaws, of which there are many. he's not a very good keeper. he was over hyped (hardly the first is he?) and has been found out. i wish him the best of luck with you but i wouldn't go expecting him to be a massive improvement on lee-barrett. maybe that will clear that up!
15 years ago or so they were so close to getting into the Prem! Unbelievable. Poor old Luton have gone to the dogs as well and Southend have become League Two perennials. What the hell happened to East Anglian football?
then why the feck did you say 'I know nothing about Scott loach'?? Your last post states the bleeding obvious. We know he hasn't been setting the world alight.
**** i bet that was an interesting read for somebody, probably would have to pick up a copy of War and Peace instead for a bit of light reading!
i expect colchester to drop in to league two next season too. it is sad to see so many local (if you can call them that) clubs struggling. when cambridge had the likes of claridge and dublin up top they were a match for anyone!
i won't lie, you have to go into massive detail. i remember going to watch them play parma at vicarage road in a pre-season friendly and a certain t.priskin got a pretty decent report, so maybe i do know nothing!
What the hell has happened on here this morning. FFS Supers has always been honest and fair in his assessment and I can see nothing that he has put here which deserves this amount of ****. He may not rate Loach but everyone to their own opinion. Christ, we can watch 46 games a season and still not agree on some of our own players abilities, with Edwards a prime example. As I said yesterday, I will sit on the fence on this one as I have seen very little of Loach but being an Ipswich fan does not make him an automatic success and as long as any player puts in 100% effort and 100% of his ability every game thats all we can ask for and I wouldnt care who his boyhood club was. £150k seems a very small amount of money which potentially sets of an alarm bell in my head but if hes a success its a great bit of business, if he fails its relative pocket money.
no need to defend me tractorbhoy. i know i rub a few up the wrong way, just as they do to me sometimes ps. love the avatar by the way! i would suggest stepping up to red alert but it would mean changing the bulb
Just saying what I think mate. Certain people post aiming to wum and deserve a moan but I think some of this thread is unfair.
people get defensive about the club they love. i do too. if you hear something you don't want to hear you defend your club against it, especially if its said by a rival. can't expect any different really
I prefere to take the balanced approach. Not everything in green & yellow is the antichrist and not everything we do is brilliant, in fact most of what we do is not brilliant currently. If someone wants to have a go at us and our players with reasoning behind it fair enough and christ, we do it often enough at the moment. Moving nearer to the actual subject, with signings like Loach £150k, Stevenson £50k & Drury £100k, Jewell is definately proving that he can secure a decent deal for the club.
