Every team, even those that have been relegated, have 2 or 3 decent players. Foir the relegated ones, you wouldnt want the other 7 or 8 but you'd take the 2 or 3. Fletcher, N'Zonzi, Hoillett and Jarvis for instance would make us a better team and add to our options imo. After all, when the craas went down 2 years ago, would none of us have taken Collocinni, Nolan or Enrique at the time? If Villa had been relegated this year would no one have wanted Bent? Just taking any player is wrong. Selecting the best of the relegated ones is common sense.
If we signed Fletcher I would certainly not be punching the air, maybe thinking "ok he will do as we have nobody else really Premier League ready". I want a striker who is going to bring the feeling like signing Gyan or Bent, so has to be RVWolf for me. Also I would punch the air if we signed a quality left back like Cissoko and a really good young prospect like Matt Phillips.
Ricky the Wolf for me. I just want that damn name on the back of my shirt! Plus he is a brilliant striker.
Happy to help Davie, I was tucked up in bed getting my nighttime story so couldn't comment last night. Collins, Heskey, Carew, Sidwell. Some serious talent there....................
To be fair I think O'Neill is a good manager and would not make such a silly mistake as to go back for these types. I'd imagine he has a decent budget to play with and will be looking to inject some pace and hard work, something he is always keen on. The only slight worry would be he does like a big fella. He is likely to go for an experienced one to help Wickham (who I think is a cracking talent) which of course raises the prospect of Heskey. But there are plenty of other options out there and he has good contacts.
I wouldn't even to no where to start with this statement. I'm sure your fellow Sunderland fans think you are a credit to the club and talk a lot of sense..............
If one of our players was seen on the Tyne Ferry, I'm sure that our friend nomoregeordies would want him thrown out of the club..
He's a cracking young player and one I would very much like at our place. If Sunderland could get Jordan Rhodes I think that would make for a very tasty partnership. You'd still need some experience to complement them but I could see them linking really well. Sunderland have a bit of history with little and large partnerships..... Rhodes actually reminds me of Phillips a little in the way he plays
