SSN yellow ticker now. Apparently RVP's representatives are negotiating terms with your club.

    Thoughts?

I think if it's true then it'll be a jolly good signing.

Be a big blow for a City if it happens. But I think he'd fit in with your style better.

    Can't see that being true.

He will end up at Citeh if he stays in the Premier League.

The balance will definitely be tipped in favour of the Manchester club that does get him.

I think United need him more than City do though.

Not necessarily. If they can't afford him without off loading, and can't off load, then it might well be that we get there first. Unless I'm missing something we are who we are and any player worth his salt would be honoured to be on our books. That does not apply to City, nor will it ever, and they simply are not currently able to offer anyone a quarter of a million a week until they get rid of some players.

I just think if RVP was going to play in the Premier League then it would take a massive financial offer ( especially considering he has stated, or his dad stated, that he would never play for another Premier League team ).

I'd think that Citeh with all their money would buy first and then consider who they could off load later.

To me the whole think smells like someone is trying to start a bidding war by telling all parties that alot of clubs are interested.

This. From what I understand, City need to shift Tevez before they can bring in a new striker. Which implies:

    a. Finding someone willing to pay £250,000 a week for a sulky twat who demands to be number one
    b. Finding someone willing to risk paying £250,000 a week for a sulky twat to go on a golfing holiday

Still doesn't mean he'll be Utd bound tho - Arsenal would obviously prefer to sell him to a foreign club, and as they showed with Nasri they will do everything they can to avoid selling him to a club they think will be a major rival to them.

Me either, and surely such news would warrant a headline on the webpage.

Would love it if it happened but i just don't see it.

To be fairness to him what he's said is right. They've accepted the bid, in as much as saying 'thank you for bidding' but this doesn't mean they've accepted the offer itself. Semantics lads, that's all. What I said on the matter still applies though. If van Persie does want one massive big pay day that only City can afford then my understanding is City have to sell first. Also, if that's what he's after good luck to him but he won't get all that cash at United.

Yes, the source of what I just said is my head. Thanks, but I think for myself. I am not a not 606 drone lemming like a great percentage of the users on here.
