I think Beckford will go Regardless of how far down the pecking order he will be he offers something Nugent, Beckford, Vardy, Waghorn and Schlupp dont. He is a physical presence and will win headers and flick ons
Bloody hell what is with all of the negativity on this thread for a player that is only rumoured to sign with us? Seriously what is wrong with him - is 22, 6"5, has proven himself at this level and is available for free. Moaning about his goal scoring rate in his first ever season in England playing for a relegated team? - we were happy about signing Heskey who isn't known for his goal scoring for bloody hells sake! As for wages, signing on fees etc - Sven isn't in charge any more so he won't be paid stupid money so why the hell is anyone worried about that? We need a striker like him to give us a plan C - how many goals will he set up playing with Beckford and Nugent - **** loads is my prediction. How many goals will he score - I don't give a crap if he is setting up **** loads! Keep the faith people! Also this guy that Hull are getting - he is less of a risk footballing-wise then Vardy as he has actually played league football. The German second division might be on par with League 1 but that is better then what Vardy has played. Only difference is that we have money to burn so can risk getting him - can dump him if he is crap and not care in the long run. Is a risk for Hull because their owner won't invest as much as ours have for whatever reason so have a much smaller transfer kitty then us - Bruce will be buggered if he turns out to be crap as he spent a large amount of his budget on him. As a finisher Beckford is better ... but 'ability' is far more than just finishing when in on goal ... Beckford is distictly limited as a footballer .. Nugent has more ability and I'm not a huge Nugent fan ..
