Rumours are circulating that both Barcelona and Real Madrid and targeting Daniel Agger. Both clubs are looking to strengthen there defense, with Barcelona also looking at Javi Martinez and Real Madrid considering Micah Richards. I feel it would be a disaster if we lost Agger, as he has been so great and loyal to us, and fits Brenden Rogers style perfectly. He's a great player and we had our best season out of him last year - wish I had a crystal ball; if he was to stay fit, no way would I want him to leave - however, he's always been a little 'fragile' and if this were to return, it's be worthwhile cashing in on him while his stock is highest! Alas, I don't have a crystal ball.....and if I had, I would not be here, I'd be sunning myself, on my yacht.....asking it if I should sell Agger or not
Anything in excess of £15m and i'd say yes. Coates will have to be thrown in at the deep end! Agger gets injured too often, money of that magnitude should not be ignored
Would not blame him if he wanted to move. Would want a good player and a lump of cash out of the deal though!
It's from the Mail. Saw an interview with him a few weeks back and he said he loved the club and would be happy to sign a new deal.
no no no... if these two clubs are in then we must get 20-25mil. yes i admit this is city silly moeny ofr a cb but agger is worth it. If we get 20mil i agree that it should be taken and coates brought in alongside another cb.. there are plaenty of young ones out there who look very able on the ball. Agger is an injury woe for us.
hope he doesn't go, he is part of the spine we have, lose him and not sure to be honest. Skrtel and Coates doesn't fill me with confidence although it might work out better who knows, although i appreciate Agger is injury prone, but his quality is worth more, to me anyway.
I'ma big fan of Agger and feel that he has his best years ahead of him, I say keep him. Probably nonsense anyway.
I saw it in the S*N so its bound to be bullshit. Also says that since Barca failed with Javi Martinez they want Agger, cause that makes sense. Cant buy a midfielder so buy a CB. I'd be looking for £20+mil, we dont need to sell, he's an important player and its Barca and Real, we should force them to pay a premium. But I dont think we should sell.

I don't want to see Agger go but I have also said for a while that should the right offer come in then we should sell him. He is a quality player but what use is that if he isn't available...? A defence needs to be built on sustained presence and, quite frankly, Agger isn't able to offer that consistency
Would be a shame to see him leave, I'm quite fond of the chap (in a footballing sense of course!), but as its been mentioned, he does breakdown quite a bit, for all his faults has a players, Carra was there week in week out, if only Carra and Agger had a love child, the availability of Carra and the ability of Agger!!
He is the rock in defence, he keeps it all together and together with Skrtel forms a great partnership. So instead of looking at what he's worth to Barca and Real, we need to look at how much he's worth to us, and only sell him for above that. Considering he makes the defence what it is, one of the best in the country... nothing less than £25m for me.
