As a Chelsea fan we are blessed to be disliked by many teams but who do you hate the most? Though QPR are becoming frustrating they haven't been in the prem long enough recently to hate that much. Liverpool and the Spuds are the two which really get me. The Spuds and us have a great rivalry and it was thoroughly enjoyable to kick them out of the Champions League.
Although I find it difficult to hate oppo's , I must say the closest I ever came to it was in the late 60's/ early 70's when Leeds Utd were our great rivals! We'd stand in the Shed End screaming "Leeds Weeds" and we meant it!n Our boys and them hated each other and it showed on the pitch! If any of those fixtures were reffed today I dont think the game could have lasted 30 minutes as there wouldn't have been enough players on the pitch!
Team or Club? If its team than United without a doubt. Can't think of another club with as many contemptuous individuals in it. Rooney, Ferdinand, Evans, Giggs, Evra, Anderson, Young and I can't say I like Vidic either. Never forgiven him for laughing at Drogba writhing in pain as Evans snapped his ribs in two. Like most I loathe Ferguson as well. Extremely bitter man. If its club then you can hand pick any one from Spurs, Arsenal or West Ham for me. Spurs and West Ham mainly because of the supporters and the media lauding over them plus the overinflated egos of their fans the size of clubs like Liverpool and United who actually have trophies to back it up and Arsenal because of Wenger and this new breed of fan they've attracted that seems to think they invented passing football and that football prior to 96 never existed and that all their players play for them for free. As a club I've no problem with United or Liverpool but with the latter it's the fans and ex-players that really get under my skin. I've no problem with Fulham, QPR, Palace, Charlton etc. Hate Millwall and Leeds though for obvious reasons, but with the former it's a little more personal
Yep. Prior to the CL semi 2nd leg in 2005 I did not have a bad word to say about Liverpool. I much preferred them to United and thought there was a lot to admire about them as a club but the bitterness surrounding our takeover became apparent and the constant jibes and mocking of the club I love was enough for me to lose that respect. I also hated the fact that nearly every time we played them between 2003-2009 the media tagged them as the massive underdogs despite the fact they had spent vast amounts also and referees seemed hellbent on giving them everything and we suffered. I'm not including the 2-0 in 2007 when we had no recognised CB's as anyone could have beaten us that day.
For me it was the FA Cup final this year that changed my views... got spat on whilst at the game and them booing the national anthem.... a load of twats the lot of them
I've never been to a Liverpool game so wouldn't know but from my match day experiences Spurs fans are by a distance the biggest twats out there. West Ham all bark and no bite but in fairness despite the rivalry and hatred there still is good banter amongst the fans, something that you don't get at WHL because the atmosphere is just poison. It will be even worse this year with us winning the CL and knocking them out of it, plus AVB going there If their arrogant twat of a manager has any sense he will keep his mouth shout until at least the first game between us has been played. Last thing he needs to do is stoke up tension even more. Early kick off and Sky selection was a wise move IMO
Arsenal, Leeds & Millwall in that order. Don't hate the Spuds cos I feel sorry for them & it's because of them I started supporting Chelsea!
Has to be Chelsea, cause of the fans. Just because a huge amount of luck and barrel loads of "dodgy" money bought them success they pretend that there is something innately superior about their club.
I'm with SpursDisciple in a way. It tends to be fans that get up my nose not the teams. All teams have loathsome individuals so you can't hate a team by that criteria or you'd hate every team. Can we not use the L**ds word though, there maybe impressionable children reading.
