Until we see our new kit and get our first taste of the class of 2012, all be it a rather false class at the mo with extended leave and new players to come. That final whistle of 2011-12 season seems so long ago, Bruce days seem a life time ago and the Keane era is no more than a distant memory. Quinny and his magic carpet have been replaced with Short and his business head, high profile sponsorship deals and the Asian adventure. Steve Walton's man next door style is now Byrns legal steely faced business style and we have moved from the Keane stare to the Brucie that's for sure and now have the O'Neill quiet focus. We have enjoyed some very good highs, promotion, Chelsea, Man City and some very painful lows, Keane's final days, Bruce and those never ending runs of defeat and the end of season slump last term. People like me are frustrated at the lack of movement in the transfer market and other like Cest are still on a high with the MON arrival. Hopefully the next 24 hours will see us all start and enjoy the real binding passion we share, a team in their new red and white strips representing the best club in the world, well it is in this little part of the world. Come on me bonny lads

Lads look fit and healthy there mind... Word of advice to young JC cover up don't want ya burnt. or use at least factor 50.
Its not about being on a high for highs sake Syd, its about being incredibly happy having the manager I've wanted for 15 years or so actually here at the club. His transformation in the first 4 months has been tainted for some by the final 10 games and the inevitable running out of steam we suffered. However, there can be no doubting the level we have moved up to just by having Martin as the manager. The football world has sat up and taken notice of SAFC under MoN and pundits, critics and supporters can see our club as a stable, well run and one with an exciting future. Sure Keane and Bruce played their part and not all of their regimes were bad. Keane built the foundations, expensive as they were they were necessary and well founded; Bruce started the brickwork and initially did well, only keep knocking down his efforts and start rebuilding again every 6 months. The project had more than stalled under Bruce and was in danger, real danger, of crumbling last season imo until the arrival of my man O'Neill. Now, the hard task starts this summer and our recruitment, although too quiet for some, is ticking along behind the scenes. Our targets are identified and the Short/Byrne backroom deals are undergoing. I have no doubts at all whatsoever that by the Arsenal game 80% of what we want will be here and that by the end of August, ever piece of MoN's jigsaw for this summer will be in place. Rather than the haphazard throw darts into a wall of names approach of Bruce, I prefer the studied calm selection of O'Neill. All will be well. I look forward to his 1st full season and to see the full MoN effect for myself over 10 months not just 6. 38 games not just 24. 2 full cup competitions not just 1. I am at peace with the world when it comes to MoN because I have the absolute faith in his ability and the total confidence in our future under him.
