How is this a sideways step? Reading can guarantee Premier League football, we can't. He's been loyal to this club for a long time and has been for a fantastic servant. He could have left in January when we were still in the brown stuff, but he stayed and was crucial in helping us to pull away. Good luck to him I say. We may see him very soon I reckon
Not that I'm knocking him, but I wouldn't go as far as saying that. He missed all bar 45 minutes of the last nine matches remember + got himself sent off after those 45 minutes. But, yes - good luck to him, he deserves another crack at the Premiership whilst he is in his prime & I'm not sure he would get that with us.
