They didn't show any goal videos from this match, unlike like week, which suggests the only person at Saints who understands technology is away.
Arrived a few minutes late and missed the first goal. Still, some encoraging signs even if it was far from a classic. Haven't been to the City ground for a while and it really is looking decrepit. Shame as its location is pretty good and I do think that with some investment, they could at least turn it into something the City could be proud of. Back to football though, Saints weren't great. They started off playing some good football, but Winchester rather stifled them later on and Saints moves didn't flow. They were profligate when they did get chances. Ben Reeves looked good, as did Sam McQueen and Sam Hoskins. Barnard and Forte were OK, but nothing special. Both goalkeepers looked better than Forecast, but not saying much. Saints had most of the play in the first half and the keeper didn't have much to do.
No they're just not doing it any more. It was to encourage people to sign up to SaintsPlayer and an experiment for themselves to see how quickly they could upload a goal!
Forte and Barnard will surely be looking for loans this season, but we would probably have to subsidise their wages as they probably increased automatically on promotion.
I'm surprised we didn't take Ben Reeves to France. He looked a class above our other players and I can only imagine we plan on sending him on loan.
Could make a weekend of it maybe! See the Men on the Saturday and the Women on the Sunday! Though the Women normally play in the city of Portsmouth itself. No idea why they were playing in Winchester that week.
He looked an adequate player in the championship but I wonder if Adkins and co think that's all he'll amount to?
