I have heard nothing but then again i wouldn't, what with living in Spain and all that. It sounds like the keeper who we have on trial and who played in todays friendly looks promising, highly rated by Hearts and Villa wanted to sign him, think his name is Kello?
Watford line up Manuel Almunia after accepting Ipswich Town bid for Scott Loach 8:08pm Tuesday 17th July 2012 in Watford FC News By Frank Smith Picture: Action Images Watford are considering a move for former Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia after accepting a bid from Ipswich Town for goalkeeper Scott Loach .
Split on this one personally- clearly Watford didn't rate him and it sounded like he had a very poor season. On the other hand, he is very young, has been a regular at Watford for a number of years and is generally highly rated as shown by the England under 21 caps. The fact that he supports Ipswich must count for something too.
John Ruddy was 3rd choice for Everton and within 2 years gets an England Call-up. if thats not a prime example of giving a guy a break then nothing is1
Great news. Here's hoping he can stay with us for many years. Like I was guilty with Chambers, one bad season does not define a player. We've been crying out for players that actually want to play for us. Well we've got one, let's help him regain his confidence, settle in and make the no1 postition his for a long time to come. Keogh, George Boyd and Wickham back on loan then I'm a happy monkey!!!!!!
Blackburn are showing an interest which is good because it means he has options and if he does really want to come to The Super Blues as much as has been reported the it shows a good desire to come and give it his all, so i for one welcome Blackburn entering the fray....

I'm the same, not 100% convinced but hopeful and I would imagine it wouldn't be a huge transfer fee, so could be a risk worth taking!! JWM have you been on the happy pills the past couple of days or drugs that make everything you say sarcastic?
Watford fan here. Loach hasn't had a great season, but he has in the past and he was good enough for Spurs to reportably offer £3m for him a few seasons ago. Sadly, a minority of "fans" have picked up on some errors a couple of yeras ago and have been absolutely vile to him ever since, at the games and online. His confidence has been hit, and we all know that, when that happens, it can be hard for a keeper to shake it off and get over it. Most reasoned fans acknowledge his 100% effort and how he keeps trying to interact with the crowd and is a great bloke. We will be hoping that The Ipswich fans give him a chance and he is a success.
