just makes it annoying that Oscar was not talked about too much infact not at ll from where im sat until we were intrested..i think he will be more of a Denilson than a Ronaldhinio..i dont have faith in Brazilian players that come with big hype as oppose to earning the hype.....and most importantly like Roo pointed out.....still only 11 v 11 at kick off...
I think someone's already put this, but I have to agree and say that there's definitely a "get one over on AVB and spurs" from RA with this deal. we wouldn't sell modric to them, AVB spoke bad words about his former employer, and we wanted oscar too. it's a triple wammy.
ultimately good teams win matches only rarely do good players...the guy can afford to throw his money..ive never come across such a weak chairman..and ill like to see how his puppet RDM will keep all these idiots happy.
let's wait and see what happens, but it's certainly going to be a challenge. I've already read reports that Bolton want Romeu! Fingers crossed Marin gets no game time and we snap him up in January.
The BBC referred to Malaga as a "cash-strapped club" when linking us to Jose Salomon Rondon. Something tells me the Spanish press don't call the English equivalent, Man City, a cash-strapped club...
I've noticed that term being bandied around in all stories linking us to Rondon. Very lazy journalism there considering they have the 3rd richest owners in European football!
It was just the gossip column wasn't it? They were just reporting what the Fail had said. Lets not blame the beeb, lets blame the Fail, as we always should
We each pay the BBC £145.50 a year to at least validate sources. Or report the news, for example the 30-mile tailbacks thanks to the Olympic lane on the M4, rather than a fluff piece about athletes arriving at Heathrow... Allegedly GDS will be headed to Malaga as part of the deal, which means this was a waste of time... please log in to view this image ...and another offhanded quip I made in this thread becomes transfer gossip: http://www.not606.com/showthread.ph...nsfer-window?p=2894873&viewfull=1#post2894873
don't worry I'm the same! I've already taken screenshots of comments on my mates' twitter accounts relating to how spurs will fail this season. They'll soon be dug out if things don't go as bad as the opposition fans had hoped! I've already caught one of them out a couple of seasons ago, with comment about tottenham qualifying for the CL. it was something like "In your ****ing dreams Harry redknapp". That was made in the october, and my reply (with the quote) was posted about 5 mins after the final game of the season in may. Satisfying eh?
There's nothing going on at the moment terms of transfers, so it's no wonder this name has cropped up. If this happens, it'll be a real statement of intent. I just can't see it, although it'd be incredible.
Can we get through the red tape, just so we can add Ade, Fryers and Hall to the list of incoming players?!?
Is that Grant Hall you're referring to? On Falcao - well, I'll believe it when I see it. I would laugh for hours though if it happened.
He played against Kingstonian last night - as with Fryers, we're waiting for the tribunal to set the fee.
Make of this what you will http://blogs.bettor.com/Tottenham-lose-out-on-Lloris-chase-a172034 EDIT - I realise it's a blog so if it needs to be removed then go ahead. I'll summarise it - Lloris's deadline was today - we haven't bid for him so we've lost out apparently.
