Well while i was working earlier doing some networking with clients i heard some interesting rumors regarding Leeds. So i don't know what to believe you guess have more knowledge so lets see:

Rumor has it were going to sign: peltier, barton, owen(yea i know but a client from leeds claims he has been there a lot over the past weeks) and austin.

Now what are the chances theses rumors are true for thesse players??

Also i have heard the T/O is almost a done deal and snoddy will resign by middle of next week when the takeover is confirmed.

Please help me this is doing my head in i need to know lol

There's absolutely no chance Warnock will sign Barton again.

Zero chance - Would have said possibly Peltier but as Leicester turned down an offer of £650K from Hudderfield I would rule him out too.

Owen has interests in horse racing so will want to stay local to Cheshire. I imagine Wigan, Stoke or Everton would be more likely destinations. However if he were to drop a division Leeds are a prestigious club & would not be a bad shout for him to show Sir Alex what he is missing.

Barton would be a free loan player who would realistically only be training with the squad for 12 matches before returning to QPR, Neil Warnock may not like him but he is not a fool and will be happy to get a player like Barton to use in pre season training.

    People talk ****, Russ.

You bump into a fellow Leeds fan, get talking about the takeover, they see you're a bit frustrated and deprived of news, and make up a few titbits to keep the conversation flowing. Might even be accidental - saying "we're gonna sign Peltier, aren't we" to mean "we might sign Peltier", but it gets misinterpreted as a statement of definitive fact.

Then it's posted on the internet, it gets on Twitter, Andrew Haigh retweets it and the whole LUFC webspace and eventually fanbase has a collective coronary, and tell other people about it.

Like you say, the rumour mill.

Warnock would rather eat his own liver than sign Barton while Owen said only this week that he wasn't going to play in the Championship, ever. He wasn't prepared to drop down the leagues.

yea, I'm agreeing with that, we need to seriously start looking at the midfield

A bit off-topic but did anyone see that the Daily Fail are reporting that the offer we rejected from Norwich for Snoddy was 5m. It wouldn't be that much would it?

Think it was mentioned in another thread somewhere, I believe it was nearer to £2M - I think if it was £5M Warnock would cash in - That would buy an awful lot of targets and we would have plenty of change as well.
