Take some midge repellant too - the little blighters are swarming on the west coast and could head south. :(

Just been back home a few hours after being in Jersey General since Saturday - more epileptic seizures. As he's the one with AS, it would've been easy for youngest to panic but luckily he didn't - just a shame it meant I wasn't able to take him to see the torch come to the island yesterday. At least I only bit the edge of my tongue instead of biting the middle of it this time. This time it was caused by a run of nights where it took ages for me to get to sleep - problem is, I'm not one for laying in. I did even try going back to bed on Sat a.m. but couldn't rest.

Hope you are feeling better bas...

Some sad news this evening with the passing of the legend on the keyboard Jon Lord. Some classic metal came out of Deep Purple - on reflection going to see them at the Hammersmith Odeon the night before my Physics O level was not a great idea. I could not hear for nearly a week! The start of "Smoke on The Water" still sends a tingle down my back!

Sorry to see that Barry, can't they get your medication sorted?

My nephew who has the same problem spent years on different treatments until they finally got it sorted. A couple of months ago he was finally able to take his driving test and passed. There is hope.;)

Have my next outpaitents appointment with the neurologist next month then we'll see what happens with my medication then. OFH, my uncle is also epileptic and with the exception of a solitary episode 18 months ago, he's been clear for getting on for 30 years which when you consider he's been on medication for myeloid fibrosis for most of that time makes mine even more frustrating but it's always a virus, infection or, as in this case, over-tiredness which causes mine.

Morning all, a rest day in the Tour de France, so I will not be taking a couple of hours off to let my lunch go down. ;)

Overcast here at present, but should be clearing this afternoon. I see that one of the big banks has been money laundering. Whatever next?

Coffee I think, then off to my far field for some stop the weight increasing exercise. :(

As all the sport focus in Jersey in the last few months has been on the rugby side winning promotion (3rd in 4 seasons) and whether Beckie Herbert was going to make the GB Olympic hockey squad (she didn't), football has taken a back seat. The Muratti Vase against Guernsey went largely unnoticed, and I didn't even know about this until I saw the headline on the BBC Sport website: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18867319

I like the idea of a <ale> as I am back from the fields and feeling a bit dry, if I am allowed to use the dry word. ;)

It's a shame that Mariappa has left you, I reckon he's a decent player and will do well for his new team :)
