Not that they have any more info than us, but the posters on the Arsenal board seem to think this transfer has legs. The majority also want to keep him.
the majority of arsenal fans want to keep all their rubbish players who never win anything for them... hell the majority of lfc fans want to keep carroll.
Or maybe he just rolled the ball to Van Persie a lot officially a player who rolls a free kick a yard gets an assist if it gets thumped in to the net.
No maybe about it... I can honestly say, if we were to sign Theo Walcott, I would be absolutely gutted!
That pissed me off in last season's fantasy league...when Utd beat Arsenal 8-2 I remember Young did it TWICE for Rooney.
I'm going to backtrack a little here and say it's not that bad of a signing. But £15m+ could buy so much better.
......Borini...Suarez...Walcott ......?????....Lucas....Gerrard .....Enr....Agger...Skr...Johno ................Reina................. Not sure to be honest!
At £15m and £100k (£26m over five years) it would be a shocking signing IMO. To risk facing the wrath of having copied the media...Theo is an athlete in football boots
I've never really been a fan of Walcott, though he did shut me up against Sweden. I feel that we would get just as much from Scott Sinclair for a cheaper price if we can get him.
rumour is now that Chelski have offered £25m for Theo and Arsenal have turned it down! wtf does that value him at on a full contract Are Chelsea employing spoiling tactics?? Unsettle the player and club regardless of whether they want to sign him? I fear that we will never again compete on this basis.....if true, it's ridiculous!
I don't want to see us sign Walcott or pay the stupid prices that the likes of Chelsea and Man City do. I'd prefer us to sign a youngster that is fairly cheap on modest (in footballer terms) wages and build the club up. I'd honestly rather go into the season with what we have now than sign Theo Walcott!
Fair point; I'd of taken him at £15m There's a problem there though imo. Take a look at Arsenal. That's exactly what they've been trying to do for years but whilst making big names and getting close but not winning anything, they've become a feeder club for the stupidly rich!.......FFP can't come quickly enough - it should level the playing field a little for us as we are still on a par (or close) to our rivals in terms of revenue.....If FFP ever works that is
I'm not saying don't pay the established stars though, I'm saying sign players cheap (or cheaper than they should be at least) and reward them with a payrise if they do well enough. Arsenal's problem is once players become established and wanted by others, they aren't prepared to pay said player what they are worth. IMO, if they have proved themselves to be a quality asset they pay them their worth. Only if that player is trying to be greedy should we cash in. I certainly don't agree that we should be taking a greedy player that is yet to prove his self to be top notch from Arsenal
