Tractorbhoy the truth remains that we should have never been left in this situation in the first place! We are meant to be a professional football club in the championship not the bloody Ridgeons league! I am at a loss to understand why so many of you are so blase! We are doing exactly the same thing as we did last pre season and look where that got us! Conceding over 60 goals due to not having a settled keeper. Yes we may well sign a keeper in a couple of weeks time but knowing us on past evidence it is more likely going to be a last minute loan signing!

I take it your not going to explain the 'smug' attack then? Back to football, its not blaise and its nots a great situation at all but Im not sure what you want us to do? Pay 3 times more than we should for a player just to bring him in for a meaningless fitness enhancing friendly? sign any old tosser just to keep the odd fan happy? Keep paying Richard Wright & Cody Croppers wages even though you know they have no future here? which not only wastes our cash but also potentially ruins their futures. The transfer window may be open but until last week most players were on holiday and so there may have been initial contact with players but its not always possible to have face to face talks. Over the next 2 weeks Im hoping that there will be signs of movement and if not then I will probably be joining you in a 'what the **** is going on' rant but as I have said a lot of fans at other clubs have similar worries and so I wont go down the unprofessional route just yet. We all know that the views of our management are very much up for debate currently and failure to have at least a keeper, but ideally 2 or 3 new faces through the door are likely to push masses over the edge.
IFI WANTED TO BE SMUG then I could say just to prove you wrong we have taken two kepers to Holland, as we have Maran Kello,ex Hearts, Slovakian international keeper on trial with us there. But I dont so I will say just to keep you all updated....
OK TB I unreservedly apologise for the "Smug" accusation! It isn't easy being a supporter of our football club at times! Like everyone else I just want what is best for ITFC and some times like last week it all seems be going well and then you find something else that isn't right. I wish I could share your optimism about getting in the players we so desperately need but going on Jewell and Clegg's past record I find it hard to find any optimism! No worries though, it will all be forgotten when we get promoted to the PL
I have seen the link on TWTD about Kello, I don't know much about him tbh but if Aston Villa were interested in him then he may be ok!

Sounds as though everything is working out nicely, not having a pop at you JWM but i have read on TWTD some of the comments from the usual negative bunch on there slagging of Scott Loach, for **** sake the guy hasn't even signed and the knives are out saying he was Watfords number 2, well who would have thought when Everton's number 3 signed for Norwich that within 2 years he would get an England call-up. if thats not an example of giving somebody a break and let them settle in and play before judgement is made than nothing is!

going back a few years I remember the furore over signing the utterly **** Kuqi. comments of not good enough, dont want him, totally **** etc were heard from everyone. He soon proved everyone wrong and made to the premier league after leaving us. It doesnt always work out for players at certain clubs.
