I think between onouha, fabio, traore and young (as he's still at the club) we're covered in the fb positions. We might even get a surprise and see Taiwo on loan again! If there are two more players coming in, cb and cm for me. Dare say if barton was available we'd only really need a cb.
Connolly didnt make the squad last season so shouldnt be counted there Same for Dyer, he will be injured all season. Harriman has never played for the club. I could list Balanta as another reason not to get a winger but I wont because he wont be anywhere near the squad. So we have a few players that can play different positions, that doesnt change the fact that we are in real trouble if 2 or 3 of them cant play due to injury/suspension.
Park is a wide man, Mackie has play 99% of games there. Traore has looked better there than at LB. Same for Taarabt this season. They are not played out of position, Bothroyd and Cisse were out of position when played there but not any of the above guys who all looked very comfortable there. I cant believe someone thinks Taarabt has played the Faurlin/Derry role at any time with us!

After you said he had played there. In a 442 they are the same position because the positioning of the CM has not changed for years in a 442. Tell me the precise game he played central midfield in a 442.
He really doesn't. And I'm not just saying that because I don't like him. He actually hasn't got a clue. Some of the things he comes out with are baffling.

Id agree theyre not the same when you switch formation, ie a 4231 has 2 cdm but a 442 has 2 cm.
