the 8 year old gives it 9.9 i give it 8 we saw it in 2d.the 3d is suppossed to be spectacular.as if you are perched on his shoulder
i saw star wars as a seven year old and thought it was a great movie.still do cant stand the new ones though.although the kids love them how old were you in 1977 think age when you see them makes a difference
I loved the originals until the prequals went and spoilt it all. Saw Return of the Jedi in the cinema when I was 5 but too young for the others. I am a bit of a geek though (and don't get me going on Lord of the Rings).
Go to the 9/11 tribute museum and do the walking tour. The museum is nothing special but the walking tour is the best thing I did in New York. The people doing the tours all had personal involvement in 9/11 and they are doing the work as a way of healing their pain and grief. At the end of the tour, they explain their personal involvement. To say the whole tour felt very emotional would be an understatement. It is a MUST.
if you like pizza, go to a place just off broadway. I think it's called st johns. it's built in an old church. there's 3 floors with 2 ovens on each floor. the best thing is the massive mural on the back wall of old manhattan. it's spectacular! go there when the shows are on because everyone eats there before and after. the food is brilliant with a full bar too!
...ooh.... nice place, love the furnishings. I'll have a pint of Grolsch & some cheese & onion crisps. Just popped in for a quick one before picking the missus up from work.....now where are the toilets in this place?
If we're talking marvel / DC comics....anyone seen the Avengers movie?...Loved it in 3d and didnt stop laughing... As for NY...farflung, go to downtown brooklyn and walk around..if your lucky samuel l Jackson may save you..(name that film) SE..Toilets on the left of the bar down the corridor...dont come back quoting the grafiitti please..ladies present !! Barman, glass of penfolds Bin 407 - CabSav please..if you have that in the cdellar...? Anyone care to join me?
Die Hard with Avengence. I liked that one more than Die Hard II and think it's quite underrated. Would join you for, what I assume is wine Queens but, unfortuantely, I guzzle the stuff like it's beer and don't want an e-blackout.
No problem mate, but apparently the guvnor here has an e relax room where you can put you feet up and sober up....yes...red wine....
poss...but our room has a few Thia masseurs who will help you to relax through the art of "expresive parcipitation"...1 dolla apparently !!for a long time!
What about the pre-season tour to Germany. Anybody going? I booked a flight to Munich for the game on 11th August.
Mate, i could never really get into that Lord of the rings thing..I saw the first couple. 1st one was good but i just couldnt follow the rest. I think i saw 2 towers or something similar. Seemed to go on for ever. Great battle scenes but really lost me after that ?
One of my friends calls it the walking film. It was one of the few books I read when I was young so the films hit a chord. Saw Inception yesterday. That was good but confusing enough that I'll need to see it again.
MAte, someone got me inception as a Xmas pressie last year ( my son i think). i have tried 3 times to watch it but its just so confusing... Gonna make a proper effort this week (stay sober) to try and get my head round it.
