Fryatt and Nick Proschwitz would be an exciting combination for next season but is Fryatt staying or moving on? The last I heard his house was up for sale. What's the latest?
I thought Fryatt was moving to get more room for his family or something like that... I may well be wrong though
I'm not sure I'd bet on him being here at the start of the season. He has sold his house in BrandsBurton and moved to Lichfields area - long commute each day. I hope I'm wrong I like Matty.
Looked very slow, and not on the pace today, but we know what he can do, just think he needs some time. I like the kid, but i have to admit if he had that extra yard of pace he would be in the Premier League. Just depends, if he wants to be here he will get goals, if he doesn't he won't get goals as his head will be gone so you may as well sell.
Fryatt's family wanted to be closer to the midlands. But he said in an interview, he's quite happy making the trip from there to Hull as he's enjoying himself at the Club. The fans respect him and he gets regular football which he has always wanted. Not saying that an offer from another Club may not persuade him to leave however... There was a rumor bobbing around somewhere that Barnsley were attempting to line up a bid to sign him! Where would they get that Financial backing from!?
Can't see him moving on, he's consistently scored goals (maybe not enough) but i think hes to valuable to let go
I think if Fuller was brought in, then SB must have thoughts that Matty Fryatt wants out or Simpson and or Maclean iare being sold on.
And what else exactly would he say?: "I'm moving back to the midlands to be closer to my family so if any of Brum, Wolves, Derby, Forest, Lester, Wednesday and at a push TWS are interested then give me a shout cos there's no way I'm doing a 5 hours round trip every ruddy day." That would be tantamount to a transfer request and hardly anybody makes them nowadays because you forgoe all due bonuses. It just doesnt happen and instead you get sly work from agents.
Anybody who has a wife knows what they can be like,, ffs. Matty has a young wife and very young kids. Its normal for the wife (who may not like football anyway) to be wanting to be closer to her family and child minders. So a move to Lichfield is not that far away. I used to commute daily from Willerby to Sunderland to work in the 90's and it was not a problem for me. The money Matty earns will make up for it. Plus a nagging wife can upset the footballer. Maybe Matty will take a flat in the area for some of the week. Who knows. I just dont see why this is an issue in all honesty.
TWS at a push? Their training grounds almost exactly the same distance from the East Midlands as Cottingham.
Wasnt it Nuneaton? And we're not talking driving at 10pm, have you driven on the M1 at rush hour? I really dont think 2 and a half hours from Nuneaton to Hull is overstating. Edit - googlemaps, Hull to Nuneaton is listed as 2 hours 28 mins. Not a bad guess.
Nuneaton to Thorp Arch - 118.5 miles Nuneaton to Cottingham - 132.0 miles If he's going to leave us to avoid a commute, he's not look at other clubs that are over 100 miles away from his home. PS - I've been driving to London and back every week for 21 years, Leicester Forest to my house takes me exactly 80 mins(though I do live a fair bit west of Hull).
Well ok then, remove TWS from the list - the ruddy point still remains! Lets not forget my post was about what is he supposed to say in an interview, not how far it is from Nuneaton to Leeds. And are there many 5 bed detached houses on the site of Lester Forest?
You did ask. As for big houses at Leicester Forest East, there seems to be some quite big ones on Henry Close.
