Smith was the key, held up well, challenged, calm on the ball, accurate and dangerous with clear room to improve throughout pre season. He was the asset that allowed for Haynes explosiveness
Absolutely right - I'm glad the highlights showed how much of a contribution Smith made to the victory - he hardly put a foot wrong. He is such a big lad, but he's got a beautiful light touch and an acute awareness of what's going on around him. Thanks for posting this, AllHell - splendid game.
He was a right fatty wasn't he Seemed comfortable with it though, a couple of their players were poking him in the belly at half time when we played them. He made a fair few saves against us, but most in the style of the fat bullied kid in school, who gets put in goal just so everyone can blast the ball at him
