Did you send me a pm at the end of last week? I've just noticed that you're online now and I suspect you haven't spotted the flag in 'notifications' saying I've replied. My inbox had got overfill, so they never delivered your message. Apologies to everyone else for this spilling out into the public forum!
Ah, I never saw you sent me a message, it seems I had every notification setting turned off! It's all on now and I've replied, cheers! And apologies all!
Good idea Bandit. Does anyone know how to set one up? In the meantime simplest is, for any theme not directly Fulham related to title the Thread "Off The Beat - (topic)"
I think it's down to the powers-that-be. The Fulham forum is a sub-forum as it is. I reckon the "Off The Beat" route is the way to go, it's not as though we're swamped with off-topic threads.
That's because we don't have a forum Bids A safe haven where we can escape the vacuum that is football and converse about music, films, women (men for Penguin) and beverages of choice.
That would be awesome. We could always have one thread where we post inane ramblings... This thread is a good contender
Fan dabie dosie. Who do I contact to set up a sub-sub forum for the board? Or should there just be a 'general, or off-topic' thread?
I'm not sure it would be possible to set up a sub-forum, as it's down to the design of the whole forum format. It's worth suggesting (try cyprussy), but don't get your hopes up. For now, go and make the Off The Beat to end all Off The Beats call it something cool like the Johnny Haynes Lounge or the Andrew Johnson A&E Waiting Room or something
How about McBride's? The bar at Craven Cottage named after the legend himself. It could be like Cheers!
I see this is now done, oh well. Can we make McBride's the only sticky thread? When I wander on other boards, I find it really irritating when there are loads of stickies, and I've always enjoyed their absence from our site. In most cases, a thread that people are interested in has a natural stickiness because people keep posting on it, and naturally goes away when it has outlived its interest. The trouble with stickies is that it's easy to stop noticing them because they're always there.
