Smithers, Agreed. Wilson so rarely got forward it was criminal. In my view that is one of the reasons why Matty was so ineffectual last year. I think Wilko gets forward more and worked with Pennant. But Ryan Shotton just infuriated Pennant as they were on different wavelengths. I would have liked to see Fabio there. I would also like to see Adam Johnson but 1) we wont and should not pay £15 Million and 2) £70K a week is nonesense!

The Geoff Cameron deal is still bubbling along and seems quite probable that it will complete, Stoke are just argueing the toss on the 3 million dollars asking price which is nominal by Premier league standards - his wages will also be quite low, he currently earns about 3k a week. The tought process is that if this deal goes through, both Higgy and Collins will be on their way. The clearing process has to start somewhere, but I would loath to let Higgy go unless I had a LB lined up, but then again I am not TP!
Cuvelier is going back out on loan to Walsall through to the turn of the year! Doesn't look like we will be seeing him this season.
