Why did Jesus weep? Because I'm using logic and reasoning which are great enemies of his religious worldview and inclination towards a faith whose essential scriptures are overtly racist?

 

Then why refer to choc ice at all then? How is Cole 'selling out'? Fact is a guy tweeted Rio implying that Cole was not a real black man for supporting a white man in a race trial. Rio agreed.

You just knew that after Rio's embarrassing "liar liar" tweet on the first day of the trial, that if he continued to try and be 'clever and witty' he was going to **** it up massively!

And 'choc-ice' to me is not the worst thing in the world to be called, however, terminology like that has been deemed as racially abusive/ offensive in the past. If it was a white player saying it then I imagine the 'black community' would be all over it asking for charges, bans, fines and schooling in what is acceptable etc etc etc, but seeing as it is Rio then I guess he will get off with it, as there seems to be some sort of understanding that black people cannot be racist, and to attempt to punish Rio for this would also see the 'black community' be up in arms and claiming discrimination cos black people cannot abuse other black people (even though they can!!)

So, even though Rio did not use the term, by agreeing and laughing along with it, and more importantly by publishing it to 3 million+ other people, he is guilty by association. I'm not sure what can be done legally, but I would hope that the FA look into it, if only to decide that it was ill-conceived and warn Rio of his future tweeting with regards to matters that he can influence!
